docs tomorrow afternoon for test, woo did my last cheapie test this afternoon to make sure id def get a + since my first 3 were FMU, there was a nice clear line so im all ready

TACC - I told my mum and dad straight away and my sis and my nan, and then my DH (waited til he came home that evening - yes I was busy on the phone that day!), then DHs family and my siblings..just told my best friend yesterday - now waiting for the 12 week scan to tell everyone else, but I have a feeling it will be common knowledge by then anyway as half of my family know already :rotfl:

Ive had my first drs appt, it was a bit of nothing really, as she just asked me to book a midwife appt and told me to take folic acid, and checked over the meds I am currently taking. I didn't have to take a test.

I did get a flu jab straight away though, so that was useful..

Im booked in for my early scan next monday so that'll be quite a big event I think - fingers crossed for that!

ps I think I am 5+2 (5 weeks and 2 days right??) (lazywife?)

Hi ladies!

Just wondering if I can join in?? I feel like I know you all already as I've actually been lurking on here since the start of September!

I got a BFP at the start of September but was reluctant to mention it until I'd been for my scan as I've had 2 previous MC's, including one at the start of July. We fell lucky the next month (this idea of you being more fertile after a MC might have some truth in it!!) I got very superstitious about telling anyone anything, so decided to keep it to just me and the other half until we'd been for the scan. We've still not told parents or anyone else yet as we're waiting for the nuchal results first.

This will be our 2nd one as we've already got a DD at 18 months old. We went for the scan yesterday and they put me at 11+3, so I'm 11+4 today! Not bad guesswork really as I didn't have an AF after MC before getting a BFP, so it was a bit of guesswork by me and the midwife!

I'll prob only be on here for a few days until moving to the other thread, but wanted to poke my head in after lurking for so long!!

afternoon all

thats me home from the docs, they didnt have any foil trays so i had to pee into the smallest test tube ever....that was a task and a half!
either way, they got enough and thats me now confirmed and got the number to refer myself to the midwives yay

Please can someone stop me freaking out!
So our 1st scan last week I should have been 7+3 but measured 6+4
yesterday the scan measure me 7+1 when I should have been 8+2
the Crown rump length has grown from 7.8 to 11.2 in 6 days so I guess that is a good sign? The heartbeat was still strong & all shown up on a abdo scan yesterday not internal.

Tink, I promise you - the first two - three scans I had, we measured behind, and I knew the exact dates of insemination, we only did it the once!!

By the time I was 12 weeks I had even gone further than the date I absolutely knew + a few days, and then recently at 17 weeks a few extra days there!

It is so hard for them to accurately measure, that its a bit of a guessing game I think pre 12 weeks... and even before 20 weeks!
