    Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j
  • i feel strange posting on here having had what seems like such a problem free first trimester compared to others, it does make me wonder if my bad news is yet to come. I feel so sad for all the losses on here I wish there was more support and monitoring from midwives for ladies during the first 12 weeks, it seems to be such a difficult time for so many.
  • Chonorla, I hope things are ok for you. Thinking of you. Big (((hugs))) to all who need one, especially MV, newcook and BB, so sorry for your news. I didnt realise just how many wonderful ladies go through such a tough time when they TTC.
As for me, I feel in limbo, I still dont 'feel' pregnant (sorry to the ladies who are suffering with morning sickness). It didn't help that the doctor sent me away (nicely)when I went to confirm my pregnancy, so nothing is really like official as such. We're also keeping it quiet for now so I cant get excited talking about it. I have to wait three and a half more weeks and go back to the doctor. I just have to keep going on a certain pregnancy website that tells me how many weeks and days pregnant I am, although I sometimes think its teasing me!
  • Hallo

BB, MV and newcook, I'm sorry you've had to leave us so soon. Hope that it won't be long before you're back. Chonorla, hope that your scan went well today x

AFM, I've been lurking for the past few weeks as I was too scared to post because although this is my third pregnancy, I've had 2 miscarriages and didn't want to tempt fate (that does make sense in my head!).

My midwife arranged an early scan for me for today, at 9w6 (not that early really but as my previous losses were at 8+4(mmc, discovered 9+4) and 7+4 (nmc) I wanted to be past these points before my scan).
It went well! Pip was wriggling about, heart beating and measurements all looking good. I was so relieved it wasn't bad news again I cried anyway! The sonographer was really great too and gave me a few pictures of Pip as my DH couldn't come with me today.

So, please can I join you and be added to the list (9+6, scan 10th Oct)
  • Hello ladies - and thank you for all your kind words of support.

Good news and not so good news to tell.

Baby is fine, strong heartbeat and was wriggling around. :)

The original bleed has not got any bigger thankfully but they spotted an extra bleed on the other side now :( Both bleeds are still classed as small (less than 1/3 size of the sac).

At the moment there is nothing I can do but wait. I will be rescanned in 2 weeks and I am to phone the EPU at any time of the day or night if I start to bleed heavily. But heavy bleeding does not automatically mean I will miscarry.

They say they are not sure what causes these bleeds but often severe sickness ( all the wretching and straining) can create them. As a hyperemesis sufferer, it looks like that is what has happened. I will continue on the sickness medication so as not to put my body under that strain again, which I have mixed feelings about.

But I can only remain positive until "something" either happens or does not. I am past 10 weeks, have no history of miscarriage and have given birth to 3 healthy children so these are all in my favour :)

OH and my mum have been fantastic and I am trying to take it easy. So I will take it one day at a time.

Hope everyone else is doing ok and Saffagirl - will pop you on the list later. Am just going to have some tea - am starving - which is a new experience for me at the moment!!!
  • Hi everyone,

    I got my BFP today!

CD29 and CB digi said 1-2 weeks so im assuming this is 4 weeks on docs terms.

Dont know what to do or think next!!

  • chonorla - I think definately take that as good news. You have a wriggling baby with heartbeat, just take it easy and hopefully those little bleeds will settle quickly.... enjoy your dinner, but take it from me, don't get too confident with the food... just when you feel like eating normally it will come back at you!
  • binkyboo - please do not feel guilty about having an good first trimester. It is good that people have different experiences and that we all keep posting to help those who are experiencing the highs and lows of early pregnancy. I am pretty sure there is nothing bad waiting for you around the corner and hopefully you will continue to have a pregnancy you can enjoy and deserve :)

Will do a new list tomorrow to add the new ladies on - otherwise I will have to backdate you to yesterday and that will thoroughly confuse me :rotfl:
  • lazywife - thanks, I am thinking only positive thoughts and will be taking it as easy as possible for the time being.:)

Just ate half a chinese which is fantastic for me! The anti-sickness tablets I am taking have really kicked in but I still have good and bad days even with them :( I just enjoy the times I do feel like eating :T And try not to have just one too many mouthfuls as we know where that leads....:o
  • So pleased for you chonorla, take it easy and enjoy feeling hungry and hopefully you will be able to relax a bit more soon.

welcome new ladies, lovely to have a few more after all the sadness this week.

I've got my follow up scan tomorrow morning and I'm absolutely terrified. Its been a really long two weeks of waiting and I've had quite a lot of red blood but no pain or clots and i'm feeling very rough so I don't know what to think. If you could cross your fingers for me it would be much appreciated :-)
