Morning All - quick sneak on from work while I have a cuppa!
Work is so boring when I have to share my work with someone else - although on the plus side only 38 days until I take maternity leave :D

Ooh Keelykat you really are close to Christmas - wonder if you'll have a christmas day baby? Personally I preferred this thread to the less than 12 weeks thread from early on, as the ladies here have been through the early worries already so are good for reassurance if you need any!

Can't remember who was asking about individual rooms. A couple of women at work recommended to me to ask about this- they said it didn't cost them much and escaping other people's babies waking you and yours up is well worth it. However my mum says you don't mind the shared ward as other women are going through the same as you- I wasn't convinced by this. Then on the tour of our newly modernised maternity unit at local hospital I found out everyone has their own on-suite room now anyway. Woo-hoo! :j:j:j:j.

I didn't mind being with the other mums as such, it was at night when babies were crying-and wake yours up that was frustrating! There are 6 on each ward at my local hospital, which isn't too bad compared to how things were years ago when my mom had us.

You only seem to get your own room if you have a c-section or complications. First i thought i'd love my own room, but then i soon realised how nice it was to chat to the other moms and look at their babies :)

I'm not very good with hospitals though, i had no complaints, was treated really well etc but i only stopped in one night as i just wanted to be back home in my own bed with my hubby :o That's the one thing i didn't like-being suddenly left alone with my baby once they sent hubby home once visiting was over.

This time around i may decide to stop longer though-seeing as i already have a little boy and i'll need some time to recover first.

I think it is awful they send dads home.. like it is not their baby and they have no right to be here.. then complain when dads feel 'left out'

I am at the moment not going in unless I have to and absolutely not staying overnight unless I am physically incapable of walking out the door!.. which is highly unlikely!

  • Hi everyone, hope you are all well this morning. :A

I've been so tearful the last couple of days & have zero motivation. :(

My blood sugar levels have been really high despite the fact i'm on the maximum dose of Metformin & I really can't work out why.

It's really getting me down now & that coupled with the fact i've had no Prozac since October is really starting to take it's toll and I can feel myself slipping down into that blackhole. :(

It's scaring me now as I don't want to have another bad episode this close to Harrison being born.

Sorry for all the doom & gloom guys. :o

    Morning all :)

    Welcome to the newbies :)

OH took me out for tea last night to cheer me up, it was lovely really enjoyed it, I did however go to bed at 8pm and woke at 8am this morning, feeling absolutely dreadful was sick my all body aches, i'm feeling very sorry for myself :(

On a more positive note, my late MIL's house sale should be complete by next week, thats something less to worry about and means financial stability for us, shame its in such sad circumstances

I've still bought nothing for baby except my pram (still no car seat) really need to get a shifty on :)

    xx

They never let me come home & i'm always in for a few days as I pph badly and need blood transfusions.

I hate being in hospital & suffer from anxiety, especially after everything that has happened to me the last few years during my 5 surgeries.

They have never given me my own room either which would make things more comfortable for me.

It is hun as far as I know but they will only do the white fillings not the silver ones. Not sure of the difference I have to admit lol!! Dentists will advise if procedures are safe in pregnancy won't they.

Morning to all and hi to any newbies I might have missed. Regarding being miserable in pregnancy, I breezed through my first pregnancy and although ended up with a 36 hour labour and a ventouse assisted delivery I loved every minute. Second one was a different story! I cried every day, I was miserable and hated every second. I never asked for any help due to my pride and was later told it was probably pre-natal depression. This time I am determined not to go down that road again if I can at all help it

Yeah that's what I thought, but someone a couple of pages back said you had to pay for the white ones.

I still don't seem to be on the list, could someone add me? Due 13th Sep, team blue.
    Thanks!
