Also had some stomach tightenings yesterday - I felt a "wave" over my belly and then my belly went hard for a minute or so. No pain at all - just the sensation. Getting worried they are early braxton hicks - surely week 23 is way too early for these? Eek!

    xDx

Nope, you have them all the way through, but don't tend to notice them until later on. I was having them from about 18 weeks this time x

The grandmother (mine) just phoned to say shes taking me into town to get some wool.
Shes determined I'll be knitting booties and things. So far I've managed a mobile phone holder. I'm only 22 and shes relegating me to the old lady ranks.

Shhhhh don't tell anyone that I actually like knitting.....

Congrats EA and Teenie :j :j:j Gorgeous pics!!

Just back from a weekend in North Devon, am shattered! Think housework will have to wait until tomorrow, all i want to do is sleep, but have friend over for lunch so no nap for me today.

Finally sold OH's awful wardrobe on Ebay, its being picked up tonight :j it looks like something out of an old peoples home and has been taking up so much space in baby's room that it was stressing me out. i just want to get in there and decorate it NOW!!!!

Another scan tomorrow as they couldnt see all the bits and bobs last time - cant wait!!

Have a good day all xxx

Hi everyone back from the docs :(

Basically was pointless, doc said back pain is a part of pregnancy and I should only take paracetamol, they would only advise something stronger if absolutely necessary :( he moved my hip about and it felt ok, I did say it isnt a constant pain and isnt just when I move it, it comes and goes sometimes a sharp pain sometimes a dull burning achy pain. Feeling pretty down about the whole thing just had a little cry on the phone to OH.

Awwww don't panic yet - when do you next see your MW? From reading about SPD and back pain etc. it seems that still many GPs are not familiar with the condition. MWs and obstetric consultants & obstetric physios are much more aware of the condition as it is a pregnancy thing. Mention it to your MW and see what she thinks. I was very lucky that my GP, MW, physio & consultant were all very aware of the condition so it was taken seriously all the way through.

    OK ....

I have a headache, it started yesterday with all the stress from the ex husband. I've slept and it's still there. I've had a shower, come downstairs and my face feels really really flushed, and I look like a beetroot. I have no make up on whatsoever so it's not blusher etc making it look worse. I've opened a window to try and cool down, but it's not helping. I've taken some paracetemol to see if it helps my headache pass, but I'm not sure how long I wait until I should maybe get checked over in case my BP is high. Has anyone else experienced similar?

Uh oh, how annoying. How do you feel about it? When do you next see midwife?
