Just a little update to say baby Alexander (middle name t.b.c) arrived at 13.09 on 6th May weighing 11lb exactly  Very sore, but bubs is fantastic and loving being a mummy :D

Birth was OK until the last bit, might do my birth story now as think it would help to write it down.

Hope all ladies and bumps are well, will post a piccie soon, and read back a bit :)

    Congratulations :j:j:j:j:j

    11lb .... ouch

For the ladies who will be bf and are concerned about sterilizing the occasional bottle here and there I don't know if it will help any but my sister was in the same position but was highly allergic to Milton so couldn't do cold water sterilizing but her health visitor was insistent that filling a large pan with water and then boiling the bottles in it for 10 mins did exactly the same job.....not sure if it did or not but neither my nephew nor niece suffered any adverse side effects from her doing this. :o. Also saved a lot of space that a sterilizer would have taken up as well as the expense of buying a rarely used item. :D

We are going to use a cold water sterliser as we will only use it occasionally but we have been given a tommee tippee electric steriliser so may use that at some point.

This is what I was given today, I am a very lucky girl and Thomas is now kitted out until he reaches 2

    Wow, 11lb........

My 7 week old DD is just shy of 10lb now, couldn't imagine giving birth to a baby her size, or bigger. Well done you!

Congrats to any other births that I've missed. Having a baby totally takes up your time, so I'm not on MSE half as much as I used to be!!

Many congratulations alamaya, hope you are feeling better now, lovely name xx

Has Fluffy been on since she broke her wrist? Can understand it'll be difficult for her but think she was worried about bump?

    36 days to go :j

I'm coping well thanks madbird, and baby seems fine, they put me on fetal monitors and heart rate is good. Still happily wriggling too. OH been great- its really frustrating not being able to do much, like cleaning etc but at least its forcing me to rest. ;).

Glad you are getting to rest a bit even though it may be the end result of a not ideal situation :o. Are you coping ok with the pain?
