Wow congrats Chicky! Can't wait to hear more info...

Becky_Sleaf that patent red bag is gorgeous I must say - doubt we could stretch to it but wow what a bag! i looked in town but nothing stood out for me in Primark bag wise, I want wipe clean and for it to have a strap for the pram - search continues...

Wendz fingers crossed, all sounds very positive so we hope to hear more as you know more...

Apricot I was up around 7am this morning, no sleep for me, plus our cat wanted out so it was a good a reason as any to get up. Take revenge when bubs arrives haha, the neighbours won't know what hit them and you will feel avenged! ;)

Spent the day mooching in shops whilst we still can and even bought a pregnancy magazine, pleased to have resisted until 26 weeks. I didn't want their marketing to get to me and it still won't unless I get any freebies. We bought a few more DIY things so that by next weekend a few more bits are finished, plus I have a short work week this week so may have some energy for a few of the projects myself too, mainly garden furniture painting (finishing) and gardening (starting). The new pair of pink gloves I bought today is as close to the gardening as I have got so far... :D

No news here I am afraid, still getting the odd period like pain but nothing serious.

Sparkle - sounds like you have had a nice day round the shops. Love the sound of the pink gardening gloves :-)

    Hi All,

Congratulations on all of the new arrivals!!!

Hope all of you who are waiting with bated breath are having mummy hugs soon and that those of you suffering with SPD and not so helpful families are feeling brighter soon :)

OH and I have been off in Yarmouth for the weekend and had an ace time, got the first outfit for baby we have bought (a very cool baby grow) and we "won" a tow along girraffe on the grabbing machines.

Once we were talking about it we realised we have bought baby a hippo as well so we are now going to go for a jungle themed nursery and have been having a look at room stickers and things :)

On the negative side my ankle has been throbbing and burning, when we looked at it yesterday i had a lovely dark blue vein which looked quite angry, with a bit of rest it went down, more walking flared up again and that has pretty much been the cycle - i think its a spider vein more than a varacose vein but was just wondering should i call the midwife to see if i should be worrying and chat to her or should i wait til the 3rd of May for my next appointment?

Also, we have very luckliy been given a Silver Cros 360 with the works (nappy bag, car seat, moses stand and covers etc and all the parasol etc) for £200 (currently at a friends house waiting arrival lol) so, we were wondering, since their baby has previously slept in the pram as a normal pram etc and we would like to use the pram section as a moses basket for sleeping in our room for the first 3 months or so and then a carry pouch and the travel seat in the pram for short trips do we need to buy a new mattress to use it as a moses basket?

Sorry for the questions, thanks as always for your help if you can :)

    Gorgeous Chicky!

Puzzled - glad you had a nice weekend. Jungle themed nursery sounds lovely! Can't really help with the questions but if you are worried give midwife a call, better to be safe than sorry!

Lovely pic Chicky, very cute indeed! Re: the pram yes I'd replace just in case their bubs had been ill etc...

Puzzled can you call NHS Direct and ask them, might soothe any anxiety you have, besides make use of them anyway as they're due to be shut down I think under government cuts...

Wendz hope things happen for you, think of how close you are compared to when you looked at that pregnancy test eh!
Ah the gardening gloves are lovely, much sturdier and better fitting than my old ones and get me in the right frame to start tending to that garden- though not to the labour intensive levels I did last year...

Eeek - including boldies I am now 50th on the list, that's proper countdown mode for the next 15 weeks

    Congratulations Chicky. :D

Puzzled Silver Cross are really good for doing spare parts. I got a replacement mattress for a sleepover classic from them no problem when I gave that to someone.....not that it was damaged or anything like that but my boy had been sick on it a few times (which I did clean!) when he was tiny and I didn't want to take the chance of any bacteria or anything lingering in it to put another baby at risk. I don't think they even charged me for it either! :D
