Now for a post to you ladies because the parent fb thing was just something that interrupted me.

Does anyone know if you can succesfully check your cervix yourself? - I know this sounds a bit odd but let me explain - and some of it is TMI so im sorry

Ive had a lot of discharge - mucas'y plug type stuff but thats been hapening from the beginning and if I remember rightly I had same with ds.
Ive also had a lot of braxton hicks from about 28 weeks.

Today I am having more braxton Hicks but they are more painful. - I dont know if im just going mad but now I cant remember what bloody contractions feel like and Ive started to panic that these bh are doing something to my cervix? so was hoping there would be a way to test.

I need to make an appt for mw next week so hopefully I can mention it to her then.

Someone tell me im being stupid and cant possibly be starting labour this early right?? ds was 2 weeks late.

Also bump isnt moving much - still moving so I know its alright but I do know its head down now because I can feel hiccups in my bits and kicks up the top on my ribs lol.

Oh my these bh are actually hurting a bit...Im going to go walk and have a glass of water see if that helps.

I need to go to bloody tesco today as well!!

Also Ive not ordered the liner for the birth pool because these bh have me worried that ill go too early to use it.

Someone tell me im just overreacting?!?
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it.

Never Look Down on People unless you are helping them up

Wins - £5 Voucher, Book, Sat Nav

  • Please can I just share some TMI?? I've tried telling the fish, but they're just not interested.

Having been bunged up for several days. I'm now not. I can't really explain why it makes me happy, but it does.

Now I really should do some housework. Want to make some more biscuits for DH. Have been sending him in with flapjacks and oaty raisin biscuits this week. Might do the cinnamon ones again. They were quite nice....
If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:

more babies !!! Well done !!! I feel left out I dont even have FB , lol Maybe we could set up a new mse thread for new mums , maybe call it help in maternity or something like that , where we could share nappie bargains , talc bargains ( this is the mse aspect) and then if you felt like it after a while you could move up to the parent thread  I dont know , I just dont want to loose all you ladies !! Lol Anyoo pregnancy related question , is it okay to drink peppermint tea?[/QUOTE]

Yes think so LL x - it's supposed to be good for your digestion - I drank loads of it in the first 3 months to help with sickness.

I don't think it is supposed to have any adverse effects?

Anni - How many weeks are you? Could it be your show? Mind you, they say you could have your show like 3 weeks before labour starts. Sorry, I'm a complete dunce - can you give your MW a call for reassurance? (((Hugs)))

It doesnt say anything on the box about not being safe. It is just a hot minty drink , but I was worried because herbal stuff can have added ingredients that could be harmful. Im trying to be healthy , think I finaly have hit the 2nd trimester happiness, other than my boobs being like rocks and this little thing squirming in my tummy all day I wouldnt know I was pregnant. So had 2 bits of pizza last night with loads of salad n spinach and didnt have a pudding (baby normally makes me eat it )Couldnt really face veg or salad in 1st trimester(was never sick , but really fancied dry food , like chicken and dry tatties )
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/11 :D

It's just an old wives tale madbird I know lots of people who have kept it in the house before the baby was born (especially with second babies when they are reusing the original pram)

Which pushchair did you get after?
