Morning ladies *yawns*
Congratulations PC Aris is just gorgeous, well worth the very long wait I bet!
What a rubbish night, hips were really painful again despite taking paracetamol, just couldn't get comfy, then DD decided at 2.30am that she would like to come in for a cuddle! She did go back to bed but that was my sleep even more disturbed. Oh well all good practice (again....must be mad!:D).
First proper day of ML as i don't work Wednesdays so it feels quite nice but need to get bum into gear and get DD ready for nursery, she would normally be there my now LOL. Planning on doing lots but am so tired will see how I get on.
Seeing midwife later so will see how baby is behaving, would be nice if he/she has started to engage but will just have to wait and see.
Catch up later!"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0 -
Congratulations PC Aris is gorgeous
Hope all the Boldies are well and that your beans arrive soon
Koala i hope that you have other friends that are supporting you, its hard when people are not able to be happy for you i know, sometimes friends stay away to make sure that they dont say anything hurtful so maybe thats what it is?
As for me, well, family dramas are making life very unpleasant and i have some hard decisions to make which unfortuantely no one can help with not even OH
Also, i have had an itchy mouth for ages - the roof of my mouth, it comes and goes and ive been getting mouth ulcers that then start blleding and go away again but its really iritating now, scratching the roof of your mouth is nearly impossible!
Puzzled xx0 -
Congratulations PC! What a gorgeous little boy, well worth the wait.

xDxFear is temporary, regret is forever.....:happyhear Baby girl born 27th September - 10 days late!! :happyhear0 -
2nd on the list and still no signs of bump making an appearance! If anyone dares jump ahead of me I won't be responsible for my actions...
Nothing to report as usual. Dull ache at bottom of back but think that's just from sleeping in the wrong position. Bump seems to have gotten smaller and my mam said it's a good sign cos it means baby has dropped fully into my pelvis. I was 3/5 engaged last Friday but not getting my hopes up that anything will happen!0 -
gorgeous PC.....my little boy blew him a kiss to cheer him up in your second picture.loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0

Congrats PC!
He's adorable.
Had my first meeting with doc yestarday- maybe I'd built it up in my head, but was a disappointment going in.
I'd made the app and given a sample in like I'd been asked- receptionist sent it off for infection testing rather than pregnancy, despite my partner telling her when he left it in.
Doc didn't know why I was there, and when we explained, asked had we did any tests. Explained we'd done 3, and they were all positive, and he asked why on earth we were here?
I'd been told on the phone by the receptionist that it didn't matter how many I did, they would still need to do one formally? Shook us by the hand, and said congratulations, then asked what wwe wanted him to do. Emmmm.... give us information on what we need to do next?
He worked out a rough due date- 02/12/11, which I'd done already, gave another quick test, and told us to make an appointment to see the midwife in a month, and ask her any health questions....
Was a bit wrong-footed, and forgot to ask if the breathlessness and light head I keep getting are normal. I know the light head is- I've extremely low blood pressure so used to dealing with it.
Went back out to receptionist, who doc told had to book to see midwife first in a month, then see him straight after. She kept trying to book us to see him first, and the midwife in the week after, as both wouldn't be free for another ten weeks together.
She asked us why we had to see the midwife, and asked could it wait til nearer summer. I don't know- I've never had a child before. Finally got booked for 04 May.
The doc wasn't too bad- abrupt at first, but that was down to reception staff messing up I think. They were less than helpful- when I asked did I need to bring anything to midwife, they didn't know.
I know they see so many people every day- but had just wanted a few basic answers at least? I'm no wiser really, they didn't give me anything barring a date for midwife- is that normal? I know I'm very early on, maybe there isn't much they can do at this stage.0 -
Sorry to hear the doctors was a dissapointment. At mine they didn't do a test just checked my blood pressure and gave me an EDD. Also she did give me a list of appointments I would have and a form for free dentist so she was a bit more helpful than yours by the sounds of it!
What a stupid questions, can it wait till nearer the summer? Why does she think you are seeing a midwife?? Hope your doctors manage to sort themselves out a bit. Not sure why you would need to see doctor straight after midwife. I have joint midwife/doctor care but i either see one or the other.0 -
That's a bit of a let down lirin. If it's any consolation, my doctor did nothing other than congratulate me and give me the phone number for the midwife and a flu jab. She also worked out due date and put it in my notes. The midwife gives you all the info at your first appointment. I nearly fainted a couple of times in the very early weeks which us how I twigged I might be pregnant. I also noticed a jump in my normal heart rate which went from 60 to almost 80 bpm. Your heart starts working harder to increase blood flow so this could be the breathlessness. If it carries on and worries you then go back to gp. Ignore the receptionist!0
