I can't as this isn't my first and they've changed the rules now, which is typical as seen as I got rid of everything after DS2 thinking I wouldn't have more kids
Can't moan though, I had 2 grants for both DS1 & DS2. They didn't have them when DD was born.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Me neither. Not entitled when you have children under the age of 16. I'm only slightly under the radar with my daughter at 6!Beautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110

Don't think I qualify for it.
Just been round sains and was in pain walking round, wonder if baby had decided to engage day after appointment.0 -
We don't qualify for the grant either.
I seem to have been ditched by a long standing friend as a result of this pregnancy. She had been very off hand and distant from I told her until recently where she just will not speak to me. I know that she has been ttc since before I told her about my last pregnancy which I did as sensitively as I could. Things were a bit weird for a while but seemed to settle back to normal and I thought it would be fine this time but obviously not.
. Sorry for my self obsessed rambling I am just feeling a bit hurt and sorry for myself as I did not see this one coming

I dont think we are entitled to it either, but hey ho, still going to apply!
Koala, I have been dumped by some friends I have known since I was 11. They can't afford to come and see me (we live 300 miles apart), but they can afford to go to Majorca for a week;)

I'm well used to being ditched by my 'friends' now due to pregnancy. When I had my DD I was 19 and they stopped asking me out for nights out and stuff. It hurt. The older I've got, the less I have let it bother me. I feel very cut off at the moment being housebound. Only one of my 3 close friends has bothered to come and see me the whole time I've been off sick (10 weeks on Tuesday) and I can't drive or walk, so I can hardly go and see them. I managed to get dropped round at a friend's house the other night, which was nice. I bet they'll all be knocking at the door when the baby comes though, wanting their cuddles and waiting to see who gets picked as Godmother for the Christening! Sorry, that got a bit rantyOlympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I didn't think that I would be the only person that this has happened to unfortunately.
. It is just very sad that something that is bringing me so much joy can make somebody that I was very close to and been through so many ups and downs with so distant and unhappy. But anyway I will get over it

Hi Koalamummy,
I'm experiencing a similar situation to you, I already have DS1 and baby no.2 is due in oct. My SIL has been cold towards me since finding out the news; she is 4 years older and has been ttc for well over 12months now. But she isnt just making me feel awkward; she is making the pregnancy a real issue between my husband and his brother. Big hugs bcoz its not nice, when the most automatic reation to recieve is a positive one xChristmas budget £266.38/£535 15/27gifts

I hope things settle down for you soon and she at least manages to behave in a civilized and courteous manner for the rest of your pregnancy not only for your sake but her husbands as well before she causes the kind of damage that cannot be easily repaired.
I think we should agree to enjoy every minute of the remainder of our pregnancies and pay as little heed as possible to those with negative feelings.0
