Morning everyone, hope no one minds me joining. Can someone add me to the list please :o i dont want to risk destroying it. Im due 22nd August and have my 20week scan tomorrow morning. So excited, just wish it was today.

This is my first baby so its great to have some support as i really haven't got a clue what to expect :rotfl: i've had it pretty easy up to now compared to most of you. Didn't know i was pregnant until 11 weeks and haven't suffered morning sickness or anything.

    Sorry to ramble haha

Hi Laura, have added you to the list. Good luck for your scan tomorrow are you going to find out the flavour?

I have had a pretty easy pregnancy too with no sickness or any real symptoms tbh - made me panic at the time but I realise I was very lucky!:D

HI Lirin welcome over - hope we can help!

I dont want to pin all my hopes on finding out but if we can then yes. I really think its a boy though but we're not fussed with either. Just hope everything is fine. Quite scared as i didnt take folic acid until week 11 so bit pointless and was pregnant through xmas celebrations without even knowing. Think im just worrying for the sake of something to worry about :rotfl:

Bit worried about how small my bump is too. Sorry can remember who posted a pic but it was huge :( im small anyway so thought i'd have a bit more of a bump, feel a little inadequate sometimes lol

Congrats on team blue Doglover and Clarieloo:j

And congrats to Caelshorn, a fellow member of team yellow:D

Sorry I haven't the energy to catch up properly, the nausea has been really bad these last few days and I'm just feeling exhausted all the time. I see labour vibes are needed PC's way though, good luck x

Is this your first pregnancy? I literally had no bump at all until about 17 weeks and from 17-22 weeks I looked a bit fat rather than pregnant tbh. It's only now my bump is a definite bump so I wouldn't get too worried about that - it just means you have good stomach muscles! :D

I have been panicking all the way through the pregnancy tbh - I only really started feeling movements after my 20 week scan so that was another thing that panicked me.

I'll be grey by the time this baby arrives :rotfl:

    Welcome Laura and Lirin!

Having a small bump to start with probably means you have strong stomach muscles holding it in so that is good!

Hi Laura and Lirin and welcome! hope that you find these threads useful in getting some of your worries/joys out into the open. Its all a bit daunting but I love hearing about everyone else and realising I'm not the first or last.

We're almost bump buddies Laura (I'm 19 weeks tomorrow, due 30th August - not many of us around then) and I also have similar bump worries especially on seeing my only RL pregnant friend this weekend (only 7 weeks ahead and bump is huge - envious and scared at same time) Can't wait for my 20 week scan next wed... tried to find hb again on Sat with my angelsounds and baby is still hiding - got galloping for about 3 seconds very low down - I think my placenta is low and at front (can hear swooshing in time with my heart beat) but I guess I'll find out at scan.

I'm finding this wait for movement almost as nerve wracking as the first 12 weeks knicker-watching. Still bump is growing slowly and I do get rumbles low down in tummy fairly often during the day now, as if I'm hungry with a grumbly belly but lower down. Have a feeling we have a lazy baby...

In other news we've had our genetic test results back (for recessive condition in OH's family) and whilst OH is a carrier of the condition its very unlikely (1in650) that I am so that's one thing less to stress about... doesn't help though that test isn't 100% accurate and the only real symptom during pregnancy is lack of movement - aaargh when will I stop worrying.

Wishing all our full term bumps luck and a speedy recovery. Hugs to all suffering as well - hope you get some relief x

Hehe well I always thought I didn't have any but the midwife claimed I had strong stomach muscles! They have dissapeared now though haha.

Forumgrazer - that is good news about the test.

Hi all, have been a bit busy & thus absent.
Welcome & congrs to the newbies & labour vibes to the boldies

All is well here with bump am now 27+5. Nursery is starting vaguely to come together - well the cot (eBay display model) arrived on Friday & H finally emptied all his [STRIKE]computer bits[/STRIKE] junk out of the drawers, dismantled (as they wouldn't fit up the stairs!) & rebuilt in the spare room/nursery-to-be :D

I have an NCT 'meet a midwife' evening this week - which is with an independant midwife & is supposed to be 'answers to all those questions you think of, in the car on the way home from your midwife appointment'.
My 28 week appointment with my NHS midwife is the following morning, so hoping to use the NCT evening to gear myself up to request homebirth from NHS midwife!
