:rotfl:This made me LOL!
Not sure about the old wives tale debs but Im guessing you're going to have a girl (although my accuracy is not very good as I guessed doglover was having a girl and she's having a boy- but I guessed my own right!) Are you going to find out the flavour at your next scan?

No, we're staying team yellow in the old fashioned way. I just like to speculate!!

Flower - hope you feel better soon!
Ddebski - high is supposed to be a girl mine was about 145 and is a girl. Think is a bit of an old wives tale though.
Just had my second cup of raspberry leaft tea and had a bounce on my ball.0 -
Apricot it is spring break here in Scotland so probably a few others like myself who are trying our best to entertain older children indoors as it is very rainy.so not getting time to chat.
Flower I don't know how others feel but I have never stopped worrying about my children until after delivery when I have been able to see them and hold them for the first time.
I had severe dizzy spells and breathlessness which I had put down to becoming unfit as I was not exercising at all....turns out my haemoglobin level had dropped to 2.4 so I was given lots of iron and sent on my merry way.0 -
Had my GTT this morning , was horrid , but not as bad as I thought. Didnt have to drink lucozade , just some powder stuff the nurse made up. Had a very draining weekend. Cooked a mothers day meal for 10 yesterday!!! My OH said I looked ill .... erm no wonder , I was sweating away in kitchen trying to make all the food while he sat and played with nephew. Think he is starting to panic , we are going to ikea in 2 weeks time to get the cot and mattress and he keeps saying " We dont need to put it up right away do we " "Erm well I'l be 30 weeks and my mum went into labour at 32 weeks , so it might be an idea " I think he's just worried that its final when the cot goes up. For me it was final when I saw baby waving at us on the 20week scan and when he/she started tap dancing on my bladder but I suppose OH doesnt feel it wriggling around all day and night and it isnt his body that is changing , or him that is having to recruit a replacement at work. Why do us women have to do it all ? lol Is it not penguins that lay an egg then the man takes over and sits on it and keeps it warm till it hatches ? lolThanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Think you might have misheard slightly.. at 2.4 you would have been hospitalised immediately and given blood transfusions!! there is no way you'd have got away with iron tablets and sent home. Mine was 5.1 after DD3 and I couldn't stand upright without a struggle.. 7-12Hb they give you iron.. less than 7Hb they start to flap.. I think most men are the same Lablover....or at least my OH is anyway! He really should know better though as this is not our first child and the other two never made it to term so probability would suggest that this one maybe won't either.0

xDx
None at all.. mine have been 140-150 with all of them.
Higher is meant to indicate a girl.. but there is no truth in it is is all supposition.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hello fellow bumpies
ive had a nice but busy weekend. Went shopping for more baby bits and garden stuff.
Spent this morning planting strawberry and tomato seeds.
Im feeling more and more uncomfortable. Im 37 weeks on Thursday. Im finding it difficult to turn over in bed and have to go to the loo every 45 minutes lol.
The baby is very low and 4/5ths engaged (whatever that actually means ) but I dont feel its coming early. I need the baby to come either 1 week before or after my due date as we have no chikdcare until then.
welcome Laura, Lirin and any other newbies.

I suffer terribly with anaemia during pregnancy and they always put me on tablets at around 28 weeks when they do FBC. I'm usually around 9HB by that point.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015
