gratefulforhelp wrote: »I would go with quick agony...you know if you tell them this when you go to be induced - and hoping you don't get to that stage - they can slow the rate of the drip and make it all less dramatic. Sounds like they didn't monitor you and change the speed of administration of the hormones well enough.
They did try and monitor, they put the tummy belts on and with every contraction they lost the heartbeat so had 5! attempts to put a headclip on DD (poor thing had scabs for weeks after) and couldn't manage it, which also increased my agony. This was all before the drip went in, in the end they gave up and put the tummy clip back and said it'll be okay and put the drip in so I wasn't allowed to move at all, I was on the bed positioned on my side to help with the monitoring I was so uncomfortable and wanted to get up and walk/ball bounce I think I had a little sob it was like an extra torture and the MW was so cold and uncaring. So thank god it was quick and DD was fine.
Well as you can see still here, no twinges and 3 days over it'll be a miracle if I go before induction I think.
Good luck GFH I think It'll be any day now for youAKA: PC

Thanks princess its a wonder you don't have PTSD after that experience. They do have mobile drips and mobile heart rate monitors too, and its the worst thing in the world not to be able to move about in labour if you want to...well not the worst thing, but YSWIM?Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

I got my own back when I screamed like I was being murdered for the full 40 mins pushing, I'm not joking DH has packed ear plugs. I think I may have been louder than any of the OBEM screamersbut actually I didn't really care. 'It's my labour and I'll scream if I want to!':rotfl:

If you don't mind the baby getting a headache getting tapped on the head :rotfl:only joking yeah it's fine could help things, I believe that there is a hormone or something in sperm that is the same stuff in the induction drip.
Just checking on the ladies due before us and my1stbaby was online a couple of hours ago so I assume nothing to report for her, give us an update anyway please.

Hi all - sitting in the garden drinking wine sounds like just the ticket! It has been so beautiful up here today, but not had the energy to do much. Took DS to practice his bike without stabilisers and he did really well! He nearly flattened me a few times, so I think we need to work a bit more of the breaking technique.
Thought things were starting in the night - had a massive cramp which woke me up with a bit of a shout and got DH to help me sit up. Had two more milder cramps and then nothing! Quite a few 'niggles' today, but nothing that I would be concerning the MAU about. Going to eat lots and lots of jalapenos now!0
