I'm really torn about induction as with DD it was so fast and unbelievably painful, I got to 10cm in 1 hour then pushed for 40 mins it was such a shock to my body. If I was to decline induction for a few days longer and go naturally I could have a mammoth labour. What's better quick agony or slow torture?
I would go with quick agony...you know if you tell them this when you go to be induced - and hoping you don't get to that stage - they can slow the rate of the drip and make it all less dramatic. Sounds like they didn't monitor you and change the speed of administration of the hormones well enough.Puzzledbubbles wrote: »I havent read back but just have a quick question - OH and I are not sure if its Taboo or not or if its something we are bad people for thinking and were wondering what you lovely ladies and bumps think.
Basically, is there any reason (other than the added distance to walk) that we cannot put bean (once they arrive) in their cot in their room from day one?
Is there a reason why we should be keeping them in our room with us?
Like i say, we arent sure if this is something we arent supposed to ask so please dont shout at meYou can shout at OH though lol :P

Noone is going to shout...I realise piggers has dealt with this...but she is right about being in your room for the first 6 months and SIDS research...but no reason why the babe can't go in a cot in your room. Co-sleeping is supposed to be unsafe if you are, amongst other things, very tired...and what new mother isn't very tired??I hope the links I posted help they look pretty comprehensive.. though I wholly disagree with giving a baby a dummy unless they need one thogh they are shown to regulate the breathing and often used in neonatal units for this reason
From what I recall having looked at the evidence, there is the demonstration in one study of correlation between dummy use and reduced incidence of SIDS, but no evidence of a causal link.
For myself, I am against dummy use, but everyone will find their own way and I am sure my life would be easier if I did use them (and the baby, LOL).
Well I am on my third show and second sweep, strangely enough they found me a m/w last night, and 2-3 cm dilated which is rubbish.
Also realised to my horror that the stupid receptionist at the hosp had given me a consultant appointment on my due date instead of a week or two later and I completely failed to go. I had no idea it was then...bad me.Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

I started with a urine infection which spread to my kidneys and they just stopped functioning pretty much. I have normaly got some sweeling and fluid retention on my kidneys by the time I pop mine but that was really really horrible I was in huge amounts of pain and it was truly horrible.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

mine was off the scale for blood, protein, sugars, ketones (how we managed ketones and sugar noone is sure) and everything else they checked for.. so they gave me AB's that said in huge letters 'NOT TO BE TAKEN IN PREGNANCY' .. idiots!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
