Hi ladies (and bumps), hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend
I haven't posted on here before but thought someone may be able to help. I just wanted to ask as this has been playing on my mind for a while. When I saw the midwife and was given a schedule of my antenatal appointments, I noticed that for first pregnancies you are seen more often then for subsequent pregnancies. As I lost my first baby I wondered whether when/if I get my BFP again would this be classed as my first or second baby with regards to antenatal care?
Also when I was given my due date of 8th August, it worked out that I was pregnant a week before I ovulated!! would this just have meant baby was a little larger and measuring the dates they gave me? its just this is playing on my mind now I'm TTC again and I wonder if the methods I was using were not accuarate to determine ov, but everything points to ov a week after the dates they gave me?
Thank you for any replies in advanceI hope this is the correct place ot ask these questions.
Hi Cleo
Hope you are ok x
As Apricot and PigPen say the next BFP will be classed as your 1st pregnancy - I suspect that given the circumstances they will monitor your antenatal care closely x
Re the ov dates - don't worry as Pigpen says they are not always accurate - babies can measure smaller or larger.
Good luck with TTC x0 -

Morning all
Charlie did you ask about MA and how long took? Sorry my brain tired! Anyway I got a response within a week...except jobcentre got it a bit wrong lol!! They sent me a form saying I am entitled to MA but they couldn't pay until I finished work....er hello I'm currently claiming Jobseekers allowance and have been since January! Called them, said was a mistake and would get in contact with the processing office. I should get MA from this Sunday..so no more signing on, hurrah!! They did return my payslips which I was impressed about.
Labour vibes to all the bold ladies!
x
Hi hun. Yeah it was me. I didn't put payslips in as i'm self employed. I didn't have to pay NI contributions but I paid up the whole year (as advised by the special help line) to be able to get SMP.
So if I give them until next Thursday and see if they need any other information that should be fine innit?! Nowhere on the forms did it ask about how much I earned or anything. Although I did send it the NI contribution payment so I SHOULD be entitled to the full 39 weeks at the highest rate! Fingers crossed! I should have sorted this earlier but work prohibited me from getting it done!Beautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110 -
Im having abit of a worry about SMP!
Ive worked for my employer for 6 months+. I work 16 hours a week. I earn £99.36 and very rarely pay any NI or tax, I have paid £13 NI in the year to date. Will this affect SMP? I am worried.:j0 -
Have a look at this supermaiden http://smpcalculator.hmrc.gov.uk/SMP1.aspx it's meant for employers but should give you the answer you need.
From Direct gov website:The earnings rule
To qualify for SMP, you must have been earning on average:- an amount which at least equals the lower earnings limit which applies on the Saturday at the end of your qualifying week
If you satisfy both the continuous employment rule and the earnings rule, your employer must pay you SMP. They must pay you SMP even if your contract ends at any time after the start of the 15th week before the week your baby is due.
There are no age limits to qualify for SMP. For example, if you are under 16 and satisfy the rules you can qualify for SMP from your employer.:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -

YAYYYYYYYYYY :j:jAs I lost my first baby I wondered whether when/if I get my BFP again would this be classed as my first or second baby with regards to antenatal care?
hello. as you didn't go to term i would assume they will count it as first. good luck.my liver is perfect so the consultant will have to get her books out again.
 i can't have antibiotics for my infected spots as it could inflame the OC.tis my birthday
:mad:i spent from 9am-12 at the hospital seeing consultants.
 dermitologist re-ran a urine sample for me today seeing as i was there and he was concerned at yesterdays results and that I wouldn't be checked again till monday. i am sooo paranoid i am gonna get a phone call this afternoon saying my protein is too high/ too much blood in it and they will admit me. I know that probably sounds silly but for some reason thats all i can think about at the mo.
ohh and i know baby growing re-arranges your organs but i did not expect my liver to be vertually under my b00bs!! (and noooo they aren't THAT big!!) ohhh lol - just checked out the pics here and its normally that high... i was convinced it was nearer my belly button.
speaking of belly buttons my tummy looks very strange today. completly flat accross my button.... weird!!loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:0 -
