do you think the baby could be engaging? just been googling and although most of it says its my spd...
PP, he sounds like he needs a kickup the jacksie.:j:jOur gorgeous baby boy born 2nd May 2011 - 12 days overdue!!:j:j0 -
He needs a rocket up it!
I asked him to make dinner tonight cos my back is killing me and I am absolutely exhausted... he went to the kitchen, told DD3 off came and tittle-tattled on her.. like I couldn't hear! .. went back in the kitchen and put the juice away that we bought earlier and came back and forth about 4 times asking what to cook.. in the end I just got up and did it myself.. I was hungry and wanted eat not talk about the freezer full of food we had bought this morning.. I did refrain from snapping 'I don't effing care just go cook something!' which I was very impressed by.. it isn't like he does anything other than feed the cats and locks the doors on a night.. he even pi$$es about feeding the baby so I'll take over and do it.
I see BIG storms and changes ahead.. I am not the most eager when it comes to housework or cooking or leaping from my seat to do busy things but he makes me look energetic! I am very fed up and on the verge of a full blown rant.. he hasn't experienced it yet, I don't do it very often.. but heck when I do the whole world knows.. and I know he will sulk for days..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Anyone know how long it took to get word back regarding their statutory maternity leave pay? Just wondering how long it is gonna take them!Beautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110

My HR department sent me mine out in writing back in sometime the beginning of feb
, I put the MATB1 form into them the first week back after the new year. My ML is due to start 4/4 (Im on 2 weeks annual leave till then)Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0 -
Thanks Ice. Mine has to go through the Job Centre as i'm self employed so I'm kinda freaking out about how long that will take to sort out. I mean, I went to see them today and she wanted to re-book me in for photocopying ONE page!!! I mean, seriously! They are a joke!
I eventually found a guy that took pity on me (could barely walk any more let alone go back up there!) and he photocopied my ONE form and has sent it to the relevant department. Just wondered on a time frame now as i'd really like to be off on leave from 15th April at the latest.Beautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110 -
Ah the jobcentre is probably completely different to a company HR department. I'd ring them every day until they tell you it's sorted.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0

I figured i'd give them a week and then start badgering! I'm just so worried about them losing my forms and stuff! Been there, done that! Do NOT wish to revisit!Beautiful Baby Boy born 28 April 20110

Just got back from the MW. Talked to her about the pain I had yesterday and the amount of braxton hicks I'm getting and basically it's normal as I've had multiple babies and everything is earlier and more painful the more you haveShe said the afterpains this time would be awful too
ohh goody that's something to look forward too.........not!!He needs a rocket up it!

sorry to hear you are having a rough time too. the food thing annoys me to.... it's like they can't put 2 brain cells together and just cook something without having their hand held!!

Doh! :rotfl:gratefulforhelp wrote: »always been bold, me;) you're right, but thanks sparkle. Not convinced m/w will need to do her sweep or even visit tomorrow afternoon, but have been convinced something will happen all week.
eta think that back pains are getting a bit more organised now...you never know. If I disappear, I may have just disappeared, ok, and not necessarily be in labour. xAh, well in that case hope they continue but in the right way and quick :T:T
Pigpen sorry to heare about your OH - I don't know what you may have mentioned about him before, but am assuiming his telling someone on FB that they are his Valentine is some sort of adolescent stage he's returning to given such childish behaviour! So he knows your pg but not how long? Sounds like he doesn't know the meaning of empathy and support.... and I can understand when they keep coming to ask what to cook, very frustrating! I do hope he turns things around so that you can relax more and feel he's taking care of you but sounds as if he's quite the challenge from what you say. So if you blow I don't blame you!:):)

Morning ladies and bumps! Congratulations Waterbaby on your new arrival!
Well I just can't seem to get used to this maternity leave lark, I should be sleeping loads seeing as baby is due in only 6 days but I keep waking up at 6am and I can't get back to sleep! Might have something to do with the baby having hiccups and thinking it's funny to stick his or her foot in my ribcage!
Went to midwives yesterday and everything was ok, head is 3/5 engaged but the baby is in back to back position which I've been told will be more painful during labour. Midwife recommended spending a lot of time on all fours to encourage the baby to move but I was wondering if anyone else had any recommendations of what I could try???0
