Hi ladies (and bumps), hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend :)

I haven't posted on here before but thought someone may be able to help. I just wanted to ask as this has been playing on my mind for a while. When I saw the midwife and was given a schedule of my antenatal appointments, I noticed that for first pregnancies you are seen more often then for subsequent pregnancies. As I lost my first baby I wondered whether when/if I get my BFP again would this be classed as my first or second baby with regards to antenatal care?

Also when I was given my due date of 8th August, it worked out that I was pregnant a week before I ovulated!! would this just have meant baby was a little larger and measuring the dates they gave me? its just this is playing on my mind now I'm TTC again and I wonder if the methods I was using were not accuarate to determine ov, but everything points to ov a week after the dates they gave me?

Thank you for any replies in advance :) I hope this is the correct place ot ask these questions.

Hi Cleomolly I would imagine that in your next pregnancy you would have the same number of antenatal appointments as if it were a first pregnancy as you did not have a "complete" 40 week pregnancy (I really apologise for my wording but not sure how else to say it)

With regards to ovulation and dates I have no idea im afraid!

Good luck with the TTC - hope to see you back over here soon xxx

In the medical professions terms you had a miscarriage (less than 24 weeks gestation) so it won't count and your next pregnancy will be classed as your first.. :(

The scan dates are only accurate to within a 7 day window so you ovulated when you thought you did and the due dates are only a rough estimate anyway, we all know they arrive when they feel like it! The measurements are not particularly accurate

    Morning all

Charlie did you ask about MA and how long took? Sorry my brain tired! Anyway I got a response within a week...except jobcentre got it a bit wrong lol!! They sent me a form saying I am entitled to MA but they couldn't pay until I finished work....er hello I'm currently claiming Jobseekers allowance and have been since January! Called them, said was a mistake and would get in contact with the processing office. I should get MA from this Sunday..so no more signing on, hurrah!! They did return my payslips which I was impressed about.

Labour vibes to all the bold ladies!
