I feel 'odd' today. Got that weird back pain again that seems to go across my lungs, feel a bit queasy too. Bubs was going mental last night so now I'm wondering if I'm 'engaged'.

Ladies, we need lots of 'stay put baby dust speck' vibes please - I refuse to go into labour til I've had my hair done on saturday. Last day in work tomorrow :j

Well, I did go out last night and nothing happened! haven't lost any more plug but there was definite leakage when I got up this morning, and I'm still having crampy pains but nothing that requires paracetamol. Just have to wait I guess.....

I've not got anything planned for today. MIL is coming round later to plant some flowers so I guess I will watch :rotfl:

What about a playmat/bouncy chair/cot mobile/ bath set? We've had so many people offer to buy us something towards baby who don't want to buy clothes (they say we'll have them off friends and things) and it is hard to keep thinking of things but I'd rather make a suggestion than be overrun with loads of junk that we won't use!

Both my mum, MIl, sisters and SIl have asked what we need and the answer is nothing as weve been organised and got it all early in some deal or other lol.

Ive asked for Mothercare vouchers. My SIl is going to wait and buy us a highchair when we need it as that what we did for her.

At least with money or vouchers you can buy something like a Bumbo or Jumperoo if you wanted them.

im dreading if we get all the clothes we got last time. i had far too many and most were very cute but unpractical, I was reduced to tears stressing out about getting a chance for bubs to wear each outfit before they out grew it. It seems silly crying over something like that, but I was really down and I felt guilt ALL the time over everything.
So this time i said 1 outfit each, preferably a baby grow or a 3-6 months one. No fancy newborn outfits with leggings or jeans!

Dont be afraid to ask for nappies or wipes etc. Folk think they are boring gifts but its something that would help you a lot.
my mum used to bring a big box with her when she used to visit me with DD. i was sooo grateful.

My sister is buying bouncy chair , Ive got cot mobile and play mat and my gran is getting the bath set. Think Il suggest the slumber bear to them. I think I over think it because I remember us asking SIL what we could get for baby when she was pregnant and she eventually decided we could get her the moses basket.OH was still an apprentice and we had just got our first flat together and I remember going to baby shop to pay for the moses basket and nearly died. It was £130 for the basket and stand and we had already bought 4 outfits and shoes, I didnt grudge buying it but was really shocked so I always feel bad when people ask what they can buy incase they were expecting me to say a hat or booties.

Anybody heard how babyboysmummy & little Alfred are getting on?

Ooh looking at that list we've had almost all boys in the last month born - I wonder if duemarch is going to have a little girl?

My OH is convinced im having a girl and so has been calling bump by the name he has picked. Can only hope it is a girl otherwise my little blue bundle will have serious gender issues

If they were looking at a car seat.. a decent one is about £100 ... I'd ask for a jumperoo. Ours is probably the most used bit of kit we have Squeak absolutely loves it.
