Good luck Due March for today hope it all goes smoothly for you and you meet bubs soon!

Got an unexpected day off work today as DD has conjunctivitis!! I am bl00dy  though as she obviously has picked it up at the nursery and one of the other Mums said that she knows parents have been sending their children in with it. I just don't understand why the nursery haven't been sending them home! DD got it when she hadn't long started, she was fine in the morning but i got a call mid morning to say they thought she had it so I had to go and pick her up straight away (understandably) and couldn't put her back until she was clear!! I wouldn't normally be so worked up about it but between myself and DD not being well, it feels like I have been taking a lot of time off work, and they really don't mind I know that I just feel bad about it!

Got the midwife today so we will see how bubs is lying this time!! Hopefully BP will behaving itself!

Labour vibes being sent to Jojo, Waterbaby and Coops and Sammy fingers crossed this is the start of something for you too!!

Goodluck today Due March, hope it all goes easy for you.

Poor we thing Teenie, that annoys me too. DS's nursery always has kids in with colds and bugs. Even at school DD says her friend came to school feeling sick and a runny tummy.
DD came home on Tue a sore tummy bug thankfully it never came to anything but she sucks her thumb so I'm trying to tell her to keep her fingers out her mouth at school. She is a but obsessed about washing her hands but not everyone else is.

Thanks Nic. I know it's just common sense and also if your not well then you don't want to go to work so why would you send a child to school!!! I have phoned the nursery on many an occasion to say I'm keeping DD off and they genuinely are grateful for it and one of the nursery assistants said that she wishes more parents were like me as they just put their children in regardless of how unwell they are, poor wee mites :(

Hey just realised you need to change your signature today!!!!! Getting close!

  • I think that's the one grateful went for. It's not the same as mine, but they both seem very similar.
It seems excellent value for money, and had a lot of very good reviews on Amazon.

It will be good if the boogers ever deliver it, was supposed to be delivered on Tues, but they "couldn't find my house" for !!!!s sake.

Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • Morning all!!
Aww Teenie I hope your dd feels better soon! I've had ds1 off school since tuesday-he's got a really nasty cough-it's nothing more than a cough, but it really wears him out, and he's awake in the night coughing, so he's completely wiped out:( Although by mid-morning he'll have perked up enough to make me wish i'd just sent him lol :rotfl: Him and ds2 get on well most of the time, but when they don't, my god dont we know about it lol.
Although i'm trying to use my time well-i'm off work till the end of the month (then back for 10 days before maternity leave-why my boss wouldn't just let me take those 10 days as holiday, I do not know, but thats another story! lol)
I sent dh into the loft on tuesday as he was off, and the ENTIRE contents came down-decided we're going to do a car boot on sunday to get rid of what we dont need-which is a lot lol
Sorted through all the baby clothes, and was very pleased to discover that actually, I dont need any newborn/0-3 baby grows or vests-just a few pairs of socks! and i've sorted through and the less 'boyish' bits, i've put with the unisex stuff as i decided even if I have a girl, she won't mond sleeping in a blue babygrow lol or wearing blue trousers (with a pink top of course :rotfl:) thought i was being very :money:
Now, we've just got to sort the spare room out and wash the mountains of clothes I found lol If the baby is a boy, I wont have to worry about clothes-especially for 3-6 months where I have a whole big black sack lol.

Anyway hope you all have a good day!
and hopefully there will be a few mummy's having cuddles with their babies by the end of the day!! xxxx

    Morning All!

I had my first real kicks last night!:j Thought they would be like little gentle flicks - no this was definitely a big boot! Think my little girl is going to be a footballer

Have been looking at name websites too - all the pretty ones have been used by people we know so they are out of the equation - I had enough trouble naming my cats not sure why I thought naming a baby would be easier :rotfl:

Hope everyone is well Labour vibes for those who want them - hope DM is getting along nicely by now!

ooo exciting times, hopefully we will have some baby pics to coo over at the weekend. Feeling really down beat today , no idea why , just tired , boss is doing my head in and my foot is really sore from walking to the funeral yesterday. My aunty and 2 cousins all want to chip in and buy me a present , they suggested to my mum something like a car seat. We already have that , so not sure what to suggest, dont want to suggest anything big as im not sure of their budget and I really would be happy with an outfit. I was thinking of suggesting a Bumbo or a slumber bear ? Then saying but Id be equally happy with a gender specific outfit once baby is born as they have fab taste in clothes that way im covering all bases ? Dont want to come across as rude .What do you guys do when people ask what they can get you ?
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!
Gorgeous baby boy born 7/7/11 :D
