I hate bump bands they slide down or up and are just irritating. I find under bump trousers dig in and make you just look flabby as you bump hangs over..

I want a plain black ankle length stretchy skirt.. is that too much to ask? ... and a support belt as my SPD from Freja is starting up again.. :( So long as my kidneys keep working I'm alright :p

I've not tried bump bands yet - will try and get one at the weekend - come to think of it it's prob easy enough to make one - will bear in mind the sliding - will try and get one that stays put without cutting off circulation.
I much prefer the under bump jeans though I guess the over bump ones are prob more comfy - just don't like them.

I've got a black maxi skirt left over from last summer with elasticated waist but havent worn it yet - perhaps when the weather gets a bit warmer!

Does anyone know at what point in your pregnancy you get measured for nursing bras? I can't remember!

It is usually recommended about 38 weeks.. but I have only once got that far :p and also in the last weeks my kidneys don't work too well so I have a lot of fluid retention which means I am measured bigger than I am after the birth.. like the always say to get a size wider (38 instead of 36 for example) yet even in the last day I never needed bigger than my normal width it was just cup sizes that were bigger

Gosh, I don't think I'd be able to walk into the shop at 38 weeks with this SPD! I went into slow labour at 38 weeks last time too .....

Thanks for all the feeling fat vs bump reassurance. I'm feeling the same and just feel chunky but when I saw a friend this week and said "I've got something to tell you" she immediately said "are you pregnant?" and then said that she could tell when I took my coat off. Bloomin good job she was right!

Galvanisersbaby - I think I've seen online how to make a bump band from an old big t-shirt. I'll see if I can find it again but I guess it's just to cut across under the arms, hem and then take in the sides to fit your belly.
