Morning all
Congrats to BBM - thinking of her and little Alfred x
Labour vibes to everyone else in need x
DD is off school poorly today so have had to take her over to my mums as I'm working- she seems to have a temperature and sore throat and just wants to sleep so she is in a bit of a pickle.
My other little lady is lively and bouncing off my bladder and still kicking very low which is uncomfortable to say the least.
I plan to do a bit of batch cooking when we move but I won't go too OTT as OH is a better cook than me, especially with spicy stuff and my mum is a constant source of food so I reckon we won't starve with any luck.
We might be going to the Isle of Wight at the weekend - just for a day trip and stay overnight - the kids are with their dad so we thought we'd get away for a bit and OH has never been to IOW - I went as a kid but all I can remember is different coloured sand and beaches - bit chilly for that this time of year!!!!0 -

I am wondering at what point does the baby start raising their hand/foot up to your ribs? I had the most awful pain yesterday but not sure if it would be this or just something I had done lol. Had to loosen my work trousers too as they seem tighter than when I had them on just under 2 weeks ago so I must have got a little bigger! they go way up under my bust lol they look great.. not :rotfl:
Husband still cant feel baby kick, I dont know when it becomes stronger so others can feel it. I feel he is wasting his time putting his hand on my belly when he cant feel it but at least I can tell him its kicking him even if its not strong enough for him to feel yet
Ive worked out my holidays and maternity leave, now just to sort it with HR today. I will be finishing at the end of April as I can put all my holidays in for before maternity leave so that is great. Not sure how they will take my wanting the full 52 weeks leave but I have to think about me and baby and not what work thinks of it lol Im sure Im not the first person to do it.
Also, scan next week, its getting closer. I cant wait!:j
I think it varies quite a bit from person to person - I'm 24 weeks on Sunday and in the last couple of weeks I've been able to see and feel the movements higher up (the lower down ones are tricky to spot)
My OH first felt the baby move for the first time a couple of weeks ago but DD said she felt it around 19 weeks.
I am finding this babies movements seem to get stronger by the day and I am feeling them much more but that could be because it's my 3rd baby - I am not sure.
Is it your 20 week scan next week? - are you going to try and find out the sex?0 -
Im planning on filling the entire top drawer of my freezer with batch cooked stuff - I think that should be about 10 meals worth for the two of us - if that's not enough will have plenty of beans and things to have on toast!
Supermaiden My OH can't feel kicks yet - hope it's not too much longer though!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
galvanizer its my 2nd 20 week scan. I hope they get all their information this time lol. Baby curled up after about 5 mins and wouldnt budge so I was sent out for a walk and chocolate but baby didnt want to play - think it went to sleep really lol. Im hoping we can find out what we are having, we really want to know. Its just if baby lets us know or not lol. I'll be 23 weeks when I go.
apricot glad were not the only ones lol. I cant wait for him to be able to feel it. I feel it a lot better in the bath for some reason, maybe it likes the water motion or something lol. Husband couldnt feel it then though but it gave me a good old wallop! Its also been kicking really low for the last few days - under my knicker line the tyke!:j0 -
Supermaiden my baby loves when I have a bath also .I can see him/her moving aswell as feel it. OH has witnessed the moving under my tummy but still cant feel it lol.
Im planning on batch cooking too and getting a big shopping delivered. But as you say Apricot there is always toast and beans are good for you so healthy aswell
My mum cooks all the time aswell so we wont starve, just kinda takes the stress out of the early weeks if you are a little organised though. Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Grateful, I have been stocking the (new -refurbished-cheap) freezer for a few weeks. Just making larger portions of things like soup, chilli, curry, stew etc and putting extra in freezer as DH won't want to cook and his skills are a little limited!!! In fact, I should be making lentil soup now and was going to bake some scones to freeze. Sunning myself at the moment though so perhaps I'll get some energy to move soon!!! Lol
You have sun?! It is freezing here and blowing a gale. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
