  • How bizarre....I have exactly the same problem :D

i had my 34 wk appt today and she just listened to the heartbeat and we went through my birth plan. Nothing too major and nothing that couldn't wait.

Could I get in for my 36wk appt though....not a chance. She offered me 12pm which is a nightmare for me as it is right in the middle of the day.
So I've had to book in at a different centre for that week on the day that I have off.
So I booked on for my 38 week one while I was there, will be on mat leave then and the only space she had free was 9am - bl00dy typical!

anyway, long and short, 34wk isn't major but I guess no appts should be missed really just in case.....:)

Dusty, can you remember what happens at the 31 week appointment? Got that next week. Am wondering whether we will discuss birth plan then?

Great news bubs is growing well, SuperMaiden.

    Lovely photo, hngry :)

I am not going to try co-sleeping. The idea freaks me out, I'd be too scared about rolling on baby to sleep. We're moving, so no idea at the moment where bubs will sleep. The plan is for him to sleep in his carry cot/moses basket for first 6 months or so, in my bedroom, then go into cot in nursery. However he may have different ideas! :rotfl:
  • Hi there, Alexander is gorgeous, although was surprised about how little he is lol. So far so good, bf going ok, spd reduced greatly, dealing with the merconium nappies lol. Only thing is I slept 4.5hrs last night and have only had30 mins since. The Other lady on my ward keeps snoring which wakes her baby, so I just can't get off to sleep. Anyway have managed to post pics on fb, but will have to wait till I'm home to post one here, as I m still working out how to use this phone lol

  • Hi Tickle - congrats!
Sorry to hear some snorers are keeping you awake.... when are you allowed back to home comforts?? BTW, nice name (;) I'm biased!)

Well, I've been having fairly regular contractions since about 9pm. Am wondering how regular and how strong they have to be before we call the hospital.. Their rule is strong regular contractions for at least an hour, every 4 minutes, lasting about 60 seconds. Mine are between 4-6 mins and last 30secs-1 min and feel like bad to worse-than period pains. Hmmmmm - am letting OH sleep at the mo so might wake him up in a bit to see what he thinks....
