Oh sammy, I just read my bfp. Thanks for posting, how weird? It seems like a lifetime ago now. Can't believe we are all so close to meeting our babies. :)

Ema, did you know we peaked on the same day too :).

Morning all. Re hospital visitors. I'm likely to at hospital 40 min drive away. My mum doesn't drive but don't really want her out birth. So unless my brother brings her over after baby born she'll have to wait until I get home or OH brings her up the next day. My hospital leaflet says no children other than siblings. Are they usually strict on that? Just if OH brings mum up sil would want to come up with brother and there would be nobody to have niece and nephew, who I would actually want to see lol!
You could always fib and say they were siblings DH's from a previous?:o

So, can I have any opinions/experiences on sweeps please. I've been offered one, and am seriously considering it now.

    Thanks

I'd just go for it, it'll either help or do nothing, so nothing to loose. I've had 3 and they were okay apart from the one with the long nails (check MW's nails first )

LP Congrats! you make it sound like she just slipped out without any pushing! did you have to push at all? that was the only part of labour I found unbearable the pushing bit, hope mine slips out this time:rotfl:

Had a bit of a fright this morning I woke up and couldn't see my vision was so blurred, I phoned the labour ward and they said take 2 paracetamols and go back to bed for 2 hours sleep, I did and woke up the same so I went in they did bloods, blood pressure, checked heart beat, urine etc - all okay. My sight returned and I went home, doctor said it was prob a migraine without the headache as they couldn't find anything else wrong?.
Well today's little fright has kicked me into gear for doing my hospital bag tomorrow if nothing else!

  • Just wanted to say....
    I've had a show :j

I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of when baby will arrive, and it could just be sproglet teasing me again. But.......I will be just a little bit excited for a while.

    Night all x

Gosh, you're quiet this morning. Am I the only insomniac?

I decided that a fidgety baby and an overactive brain weren't conducive to sleep, so I came downstairs to let DH have some sleep.

It struck me when I went to bed last night after my show....we're having a baby . Everything will be different. It'll not be just me and DH any more, and I like it being me and DH. There will be so much that we can't do any more - going out to the pub at a moment's notice, lazing in bed, holidays will be harder etc etc. It made me panic somewhat that I'm not actually ready for this at all.

Well, baby's gone back to sleep, finally. I guess I'm stuck with the news for a while then. Thanks baby for keeping me awake :p

eta: just been flicing through yahoo and found this: http://uk.health.lifestyle.yahoo.net/Lack-of-sleep-a-ticking-time-bomb-for-health.htm
how to make me feel better about being awake at 4am....not
