Gosh, you're quiet this morning. Am I the only insomniac?

I decided that a fidgety baby and an overactive brain weren't conducive to sleep, so I came downstairs to let DH have some sleep.

It struck me when I went to bed last night after my show....we're having a baby . Everything will be different. It'll not be just me and DH any more, and I like it being me and DH. There will be so much that we can't do any more - going out to the pub at a moment's notice, lazing in bed, holidays will be harder etc etc. It made me panic somewhat that I'm not actually ready for this at all.

Well, baby's gone back to sleep, finally. I guess I'm stuck with the news for a while then. Thanks baby for keeping me awake :p

how to make me feel better about being awake at 4am....not

Gonna ban you from searching the interweb lol....but looks good for our future doesn't it lol

I had the nothing is going to be the same freak attack a few weeks ago and have kinda sorted it out in my head regarding the above.....due to me having been ill for approx 18 months before falling PG we weren't really able to go to the pub at a moments notice anyways as had to be sure I could visit the ladies and there are some pubs you just would NOT venture into their ladies lol....lazing in bed will be harder also but have had 9 months to prepare for that too, just need to get used to napping properly lol and as for holidays well actually I am going to miss those as I love visiting my BB in Holland lol

Hubby on the other hand keeps getting moments and looking at me with panic stricken eyes and asking how are we going to do ........ lol

Morning, Managed to sleep from half 11 to sixish without waking, quite an achievement for me.

Went for a coke at pub last night and they had a man playing bagpipes, very random . Think poor baby was probably terrified.

Hope the show means something hngrymummy!

PC - glad all was OK with baby after hospital visit.

I have these little freak out moments every now and then. I had one yesterday when hubby constructed the pram which was still in its box in the spare room. I thought we should check and make sure it was all there and after he had put it together I had a "OMG there is going to be a baby in there in a few weeks moment". This then led on to a "are we really ready for this? Everything is going to change! Does this mean we will never do anything just me and him?" blah blah blah - DH just laughs at me as he finds it funny I'm still trying to get my head around it all.

Hope the show means things are moving for you :)

We are hopefully off for a tour of the maternity section of the hospital this morning. Apparently you just turn up ready for 10am and someone comes and shows you round. I think if anything is going to make this feel real it will be this!

Then this afternoon hubby and I are off to the Alton Towers hotel for the evening. Saw a great one night Valentines break on the Grabbit board £55 each for use of the Relaxation Rooms in the spa, a three course dinner, glass of champagne and buffet breakfast. We'd already discussed going away as it will probably be our last break together before we become three :p:p

Won't be back till tomorrow so hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend :D

I was up in the night due to OH snoring, he persuaded me to sleep upstairs but I ended up moving downstairs to the sofa bed at 2am as I wasnt sleeping lol. Then DD decided at 5am that she wanted some milk, but then slept in till 8.15. So all in all I had about 8 hours, just broken into sections lol.

We also had the freak out moment, yes I know I already have 1 but I had the freak out about how I am going to manage with 2 lol. I know its all just a case of finding your feet.

Re Holidays - we have a family holiday booked in the UK for September when baby will be 6 and a half months. Holidays are still doable they just take a bit more planning :D We go away as a family at least once a year. We have found that Hoseasons are very good value and our holiday in September for 2 adults and 2 children is costing £188 for the week.

Re lazing in bed - It will be so much more enjoyable the days that you do get to do this :D Usually DD is up at 7am, but occasionally she sleeps till 9am and it feels like a treat.

And the main thing is you will have a baby, who will brighten up your life. A little person you can share all your special moments with, that will amaze you, entertain you and love you :D And the fact that you are worried about not being ready more than likely means that you are more than ready.

RBG, when i was pregnant with Lily. Just before she was due i had a massive panic and was crying to DH about how our lives are over.
He got me to list everything we cant do when she comes and all i could think of was 'go to the cinema' :o (we dont drink so dont go out)

We hardly went to the cinema anyway and we've still done everything like before but with just a bit of preparation :)

    Morning ladies.

I've slept like a baby.....up every 2 hours but still feel quite refreshed really. DH brought me my usual weetabix in bed and heading off to friends (via a bacon and egg mcmuffin) to collect some boy clothes. At least I'll have a stack of each and pass on what I don't need.

Am going to pop (well, 40 mins drive) to babies r us and pick up a loved and adored border I've been waiting to get back in stock for ages.

DH is away all this week :( and next week :(:( but we are having our last break away in between (so he'll be well-knarcked being in a hotel constant for 2 weeks) and he's getting the train up so I've to drive to Glasgow by myself in my car whilst he trains it from Slough. Still, it was my Tesco clubcard so very MSE.

Right, time to get up, ready and to macs before breakfast ends and I do a Michael Douglas!

    morning ladies and bumps

nice lie in this morning. Just had shreddies and tea, nom nom. :p my best friend came over last night - we both live 300 miles from where we grew up, I moved up last year as my mum's side of the family are up here (and ob my mam), then she came up in Jan to start uni so am sooo happy she is here

I did make friends when I moved up here, but most of them have dropped me now I am pregnant. One of them is 6 weeks behind me though and expects me to be her on call babysitter now cos I did it once for her....

Ema, did you know we peaked on the same day too :).

Oh dear twinny there really is no hope for us is there!!

Sorry about the test DM :(.

Sorry there were so many rubbish nights sleep, I was up at 5 :( didn't post but i was being nostalgic from the ttc thread :). Thanks for posting that Sammy, amazing to see so many of us here now :)

I am now freaking out that baby is in the wrong position. MW thought but wasn't sure he was head up, thing is I saw the consultant a couple of weeks vefore and she said he was head was down, and am still getting the same kicking sensations as i was then! Added to the fact that 2 people yesterday told me their MW had told them baby was head down, then they found out last minute that baby was breech.

Still I have had a good 10 weeks of not worrying about bubs, so I suppose I was bound to find something to stress about ;)

Have lovely wknd days people xx
