Morning Ladies & bumps!
Am feeling nice and comfy today in my new maternity jeans that came yesterday - I had forgotten how nice to was to sit down and breathe at the same time :rotfl:
Although they do keep falling down when I walk but they are so comfy I don't even care.
I have my triple test tomorrow - can anybody remember how long it took to get the results back?
In other news chocolate malted milk biscuits are so delicious I may have just eaten an entire pack!
Morning Apricot
I think I had this in my first pregnancy which was 9 years ago - think results were back within a week but perhaps they are quicker now - didn't take long anyway
I like malted milk especially chocolate ones - are they they ones with the moo cows on?0 -

Morning All
Hope everyone is well?
RBG - Have your feet gone down? Mine are all puffy too, OH wants to cut the elastic out of my socks because by the time I get home from work and get them off the circulation has just about been cut off lol.
LabLover - Glad scan went well, pics?
Congrats to the new babies - again, pics please?
Sammy - Please dont do that to me! I had it in my head that all my dates were wrong lol
Anyhoo, had 36 week appt yesterday. All is well but it took her a while to figure out what position bubs is in. She seemed to think he/she had gone breech but luckily after a lot of prodding and deep breaths she is now 90% sure it is head down just lying a bit awkwardly. Not surprised, DD was back to back from about this point.
She has booked me in for 2 weeks time when I'll be 38 + 4 and then she said 'thats if you even make it that far, I dont think you will' lol, sorry RBG and Hitchins, her words not mine! :rotfl:
Had a driving lesson yesterday, can still fit behind the wheel whoop, all set for Saturday, I dont hold out a great deal of hope after last time to be honest but we'll see what happens wont we!
Sorry cant remember any other important news!Sealed Pot Challenge Member 151

Althought IIRC you were hospitalised at one point so are obviously having a much harder time than me as I have managed to avoid that thankfully- I hope you're feeling a lot better now, or at least are able to function more normally. In hindsight I should have sought help with the sickness a lot earlier than I did but I just assumed that how I was feeling was normal, and as everyone else seemed to cope with it that I would too. It didn't occur to me at the time that other people were actually able to walk about, leave their house, drink fluids, wash etc and that I should be questioning why I couldn't- its pretty scary when I look back at how my frame of mind was only a few weeks ago. The anti-sickness meds have made a real difference to me though, I just wish I could get over the guilt I feel in taking them:(
On a good note my OH made me a pancake today with maple syrup and not only did I eat but I actually enjoyed it:j I am so looking forward to having a normal relationship with food again.
Congrats to all the new mummies on here as well - Ava, Thomas and Maia are all beautiful names:A
I see you were all discussing car seats today. Is there a good beginners guide anywhere that help a complete novice like me in understanding it all. Our car has isofix fittings so if I buy a compatible car seat do I still need to buy the bases as well? *clueless*:rotfl:
Poor youHow many weeks are you and what anti-sickness meds are you on? I also had to have anti-sickness tablets 3x a day from about 7 weeks until around 18 weeks. Had a terrible time of it with eating, and remember the first thing I ate that I enjoyed - a well done steak and all the trimmings  Don't worry hun, you'll get there
I can't stop eating now :rotfl: But the heartburn is a pain.
I'm sure I quoted some other people, but am in a rush now as need to get dressed for MW appointment. Will be back on later. Happy chatting ladies xx :rotfl:0 -
Oh dear, there's a charity bake sale going on in our office - this wont end well0

If you weren't taking them you wouldn't be eating at all or just throwing it all right back up again (if you're anything like I was). That's not healthy for you or your baby. I went through the guilt with my meds until I realised that the other option was going back on a drip in hospital or risking depriving myself and my baby of essential nutrients.
They wouldn't let you take them if there was substantial risk to either of you. If you have any concerns, make sure you speak to your Dr or MW about them so that they can help to ease your worries.
If my baby pops out with 3 arms and 2 heads I'll let you know
Anni - I got told that the pg hormones make membranes (?) etc a bit thinner, so you're more likely to get bleeding gums and nosebleeds. Certainly that's been my experience.
vroom - my belly button has got loads of dry skin around it and is quite flakeyI've been bunging moisturiser on twice a day which has helped.
Well, I'm still here. My coldsore has nearly healed up, so sproglet cam turn up now. I used a combination of distilled witch hazel and coldsore patches, which seems to have worked a treat. I'll definitely be doing that next time. Time to start bouncing on my ball and eating pineapple I think. If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -
Morning
I actually slept last night YIPPEE!
DS was so tried after going back to school & his first swimming lesson he even over slept by 35 minutes so I also go a bit of a lie in. Feel vaguely more human as a result. Still playing catch up so am going to have a nap before I collect him from school.
I ordered a maternity swimming suit today from Next which should arrive tomorrow. I had used one that's just in a larger size that I'd kept after loosing weight but it's no good, I had to admit defeat & get a maternity one.0 -

Morning all!
It seems since bubs learnt to move so I could feel it, it's now a favourite passtime of it. Yesterday it was moving a lot and was veryyyy tickly. Then I went to bed and put my hand on bump and realised that I could feel it from the outside! :O I have a sneaky suspicion that my original due date is the correct one and so bubs is actually a week ahead of where we think but we'll see. All I know is it's definitely learnt to kick! I have to say I am very excited about this valentine's weekend.
Does anyone know, if I'm on a long train journey and I have a long wait at one of the stations can I ask the man at the barriers just to let me out of the platform to get some food? Just I thought I'd stop off at Guildford for a spot of lunch with a friend and her OH but I'm not sure if it's a bit naughty of me. It'd be okay if it was gatwick because you can just walk in and out of the platforms there. If I can't do that then I'll get a ticket to somewhere really close to guildford just to get back on the platform. I'm not too bothered about spending a couple of quid on that. Yeah I'm not very good with knowing things like this.A-Z Challenge: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ
