OK, Which magazine test TV's all the time, and whilst they have not tested the Lidl brand, I can report the following;
they have 7 'Don't Buys' by such manufacturers as,
Bush (2)
Marks and Spencer
Sharp
Technica (2)
Atec
Evotel
And 32 Best Buys from brands such as;
Samsung (11)
Panasonic (8)
LG (3)
Sony (10)
Now make your own judgements here, but whilst the poster who suggested the Samsung was lambasted for the non-comparable features, he clearly knows that Samsung models fair very well in terms of quality, as do the others mentioned above, and the cheaper models such as Bush ought to be avoided as their performance is reflected in their price.
If you do not follow 'labels' and only buy this TV, then no doubt you will be satisfied with it, right up to the point when you go to someones house with a classy Panasonic Viera where you can actually see the colour and contrast as it should be!
As for actually getting one of these from Lidl, I suggest queueing from at least 8.30am for a 9am opening (if not earlier).
Good luck to those attempting it.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!
Quidco and Topcashback, £4,569
Shopandscan, £2,840
Tesco Double The Difference, £2,700
Thomson EU261/04 Claim, £1,700
British Airways EU261/04 Claim, EUR12000 -

Best to ignore, the guy is trolling and getting some left handed action kick out of these windups.

Purchased one chaps! Managed to get it Wednesday night as I am staff and I did nab 1/3rd of the stock to be accurate. Working absolutely fine so far. Hitched up next to the laptop, looks wonderful. Freeview works fine. Very happy with it0

I thought this tv did not have freeview?0
-
It has, but not HD Freeview, I believe?0
