Is this the one with the brilliant 178/178 viewing angles?

It will say so on the box if it is.

Yes it is. Looks quite a bargain, shame no Freeview HD tuner though.

    Seems a good buy.

I want a TV that has USB and (apparently) HDMI ports, and this seems to fit the bill nicely.

Not bothered about fancy anything, or freeview. No freeview here without extra aeriel, so we have a dish that was here when we moved in and use an old sky box bought from a car boot.

I only watch soaps and dramas anyway. :o

You'll be fine with it I would think, and with no disrespect this is the market this stuff is aimed at, it's great value for the money for not as demanding users which is why I can't understand knobrock getting on his high horse earlier.

  • Indeed,

You buy cheap TV's and do wonder if they will last yet this one has a good 3 years in it.

More unsubstantiated scare-mongering. Unless you have proof to back this 'assumption' up? Or is your 'probably' as used in 'probably not' and 'probably' used in the same context as Carlsberg describe their lager as 'probably the best lager in the world'? And try not to answer in such an aggressive and frankly insulting manner this time, please.

Yet again what a ridiculous statement to make, the Samsung is 23% more expensive, chuck the Silvercrest away after 3 years, it's going to last minimum of three years for £80/year for a full HD TV with 4 HDMI and USB.

No-one said it pretends to be on image as good as the Samsung, there's always going to be a perceived 'better' TV for more money, this is a budget TV for a budget price for a specific budget market - and it may prove you wrong.

Different TV, different market, different budget.....

    DID IT SINK IN YET

Did you apologize yet for your remarks yesterday to that poster BTW, what are you - 5 years old throwing your rattle out of your pram when you get a contrary opinion.
