it's cheap. I can't comment on quality as i've never seen one and really don't want to get involved in the quality debate that's going on in this thread. That said it gets decent reviews on the bestbuy site0 -

On face value looks a tremendous bargain, but I'd be more comfortable with a three year warranty in case it goes 'pop' after 367 days, but that's another £1500 -

Trust me,the Samsung will be a MUCH better TV
Yes. We should definitely trust a stranger on a web forum despite the fact that there is absoloutely no reason to do so. :huh:Getting married to a wonderful lady on August 10, 2012.
Need to save up, lose weight, reduce my money worries and get back to being the real me! :j0 -
Yet again what a ridiculous statement to make, the Samsung is 23% more expensive, chuck the Silvercrest away after 3 years, it's going to last minimum of three years for £80/year for a full HD TV with 4 HDMI and USB.
No-one said it pretends to be on image as good as the Samsung, there's always going to be a perceived 'better' TV for more money, this is a budget TV for a budget price for a specific budget market - and it may prove you wrong.
Different TV, different market, different budget.....
DID IT SINK IN YET
Did you apologize yet for your remarks yesterday to that poster BTW, what are you - 5 years old throwing your rattle out of your pram when you get a contrary opinion.

We have always been happy/impressed with the quality of Silver Crest products in our house. But then labels mean nothing to us. The only problem is availability, they only get a few in stock and you have to be lucky to get there in time.:wall:0

I think this is the problem with any special deals at the three budget discounters, generally they're a loss leader on limited supply to get you in the store, queue early 6am ish for anything remotely decent and that's if the staff haven't already reserved/nabbed half the supply.0
