What are you walking down the aisle to?

  • We are having major dilemas about this, just can't decide! We are really fussy with our music, we are both big indie type music fans and just can't find anything that is a) appropriate b) not what everyone else has, or c) that is a special song to us. Would love some songs that are 'special' for us, but they are all unsuitable lyrics or just really random, like Super Furry Animals or something! It's probably the hardest decision we have had to make for the whole wedding.

some of the songs we like have very unsuitable lyrics, but thanks to the people on this thread directing me towards the vitamin string quartet we can have what ever we like...

Well, I decided - I'm going to be walking down the aisle to a string quartet cover of 'God Only Knows' by the Beach Boys. Very happy with that!

  • Hallo!

I'm walking down to Handels Firework Music IV: La Rejouissance.

We were actually writing down all the pre/during music yesterday and had to make final decisions and the only thing i hadn't decided (literally had no idea) was my entrance, and then i heard this and: DONE!

We're keeping most of it quite light, like we're leaving to 'everlasting love' eheehe. and we have lots of Tape Five and Caravan Club stuff playing before (electro swing i think it's termed as).

    eeee FUN!
  • Re: walking up the aisle music, my sisters had Mendelssohn - Wedding March from A Midsummer Night's Dream and Handel - La Rejouissance from Music for the Royal Fireworks. Their register signing songs were What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and O Mio Babbino Caro by Puccini.

I also think Vivaldi's Four Seasons would make great wedding exit music - the Allegros from the Spring and Autumn movements in particular.

That's ok until it gets to the verse that goes

    'I'm a minger
    You're a minger too
    So come on minger
I want to ming with you'

I dont want to be a minger on my wedding day:rotfl:
