Hey, I have been charged for a cardigan that I ordered for my daughter. I'm happy too keep it as it is worth the money (£4.49.)
But I will NOT be using the cataloge for shopping again---its simply rubbish!!
:xmassign:Skint!! But hey, L:heartpulsves FREE!!0 -
I've been charged as well. When I phoned them up yesterday I was told that the code we used was only for existing customers and since I just signed up they were not going to honour the code.
I have now arranged for my item to be picked up and returned.0 -
I'm a newbie here, first post!!! although I have been lurking for a while.
I had a letter through saying I couldn't have a credit account with them too. For a freebie, I wouldn't have thought that should matter.

I received my order today and thankfully haven't been charged.
However, even though I have been an Empire customer for nearly 20 years, the only time I ever order from them now, is when codes like this come up!!
It's my way of getting my own back on them for being such a sh**ty company!!
I have used the codes that get put on this site for ages and never had a problem with being charged....aalthough I have had other problems with them in the past.
My advice to all of you that have been charged...is get on the phone and moan at them like crazy. When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0 -
so the code was only for exsisting customers? it's not really empire's fault thenMan who run into airport turn-styles is going to Bangkok
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research0 -
If Empire send you the email saying "£0.00" to pay, it shows you've entered a contract, and thus, by them changing the contract by then charging you, if not right. When the £20 code was used, I know 50 people that used it, 7 being under 18, and all were accepted, and my partner used the code on sale items, fine, but they randomly charged me, nobody else.~*Cerenia*~
