Would you buy a coffin online ?

There is, it's called a body bag.
Can I just use one of those large wheelie bin bags... aren't the green ones biodegradable :-)
Not sure the 'bag' bearer would find it a particularly easy job to convey the corpse into the chapel / crematorium though.... would make things interesting.0 -
Does anyone know what 'foil' means when it comes to the finish ?
I understand veneers and solid wood... but not sure what they mean by foil....0 -
I won't need a coffin..I'm donating my body to medical science!
(Mind you, looking at the state of it, they'll probably send it back :rotfl:)"I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
I don't see why not. I wouldn't buy one in advance for myself as I simply don't have the storage room, but if I needed to buy one for someone else I would probably be quite happy to buy online as long as the company was reputable as you wouldn't want it not turning up in time or not being the quality you expected..
I'd imagine it would be useful to be able to just go online and it would be one less thing for you do go out and deal with during an upsetting time.0 -

I've read a number of undertakers websites this afternoon and most say they offer a service past that of just doing the deed... help, advice, counselling, support and so on....
That could not be further from the truth in my experience. Yes they are courteous but thats as much as I've noticed.
I agree they may be useful in getting the official documentation sorted, but then thats normally because the general public doesn't know what needs doing.
I have found some really useful resources about taking control of this aspect, yet still cannot seem to source an affordable attractive product....
Will keep looking...0 -
