  • And so to the end of our second week. I've spent this week yumming down a homemade loaf and a tub of pate. I reckon it's cost me about £1.50 in total.Nice!

I also discovered a pack of 7 Kit-Kat Chunkies in Morrison's for £1, so that has satisfied my 3pm biscuit craving each day, with 2 to spare. I doubt my waistline will be so proud of my bargains though!

  • Hi I'm going to go for 12 lunches from home (am on holiday for 10 days!!! so that equals 0 bought lunches in Feb) Have been getting inspiration from the lunches thread ;)

Hi, could you point me in the direction of the lunches thread please? I have managed not to buy lunch in Feb so far, but am running out of ideas.
    Many thanks

    Hi everyone

All going well for me. Had my 2 sandwich shop trips this month so now I'm going for the home straight! 11 days left sounds soooo easy, right?!!

    What's everyone having?

This week I'm thinking some risotto - chicken and mushroom, or just with some veggies - and some leftovers will do nicely. Not that I know what the leftovers will consist of because not done any sort of meal planning :p

Hey darwins-mum - think DNMS meant this here thread ;) - if there aren't any ideas on this one to take your fancy then maybe you could skim through the January thread or some threads from last year. The OS board is great for meal ideas too. HTH.
  • Have ended up making some sort of potatoes and bolognese quorn sauce type thing. Looks ok and enough for 2 days. Easy days.
  • I'm up to 8/15 now - not bad, and definitely on track for my target :)

Today I have veggie curry and a pitta. Think this may be what I have all week due to having no room in the freezer and I made a batch of it last night!! Still no bought lunches:j

  • Well i've just had a packet of batchelors pasta n sauce (from the local freezer shop - was part of my bargain weekly shop on the weekend).

Got a new job! Its a little further away but has more career progression (and promotion & pay rises). So not sure how the no lunch spend will do. May have to suss out their facilities first to see what type of lovely lunches I can bring from home. I'm thinking even if they've only got a kettle that's still cuppa soups/smash/pot noodles etc.

No lunches bought last week - 3 from home, 1 paid for at work and then 1 day off at home and today had a meeting where sandwiches were provided so I'm on 2 lunches paid for at work so far still.
