Hiya -

Its a challenge that does what it says on the tin - set yourself a goal of bringing in a set number of lunches (or other meals) for the month and share your meals with other posters to share the love and inspiration! If setting a goal, please put it in big letters so I can spot it!

Personally, February is a skint month for me as I have to go back to America in the middle for a week for my Granddad's 90th birthday 'do. So Im not buying any lunches this time!

Ok, I'm going to give it a bash! I was lurking about, keeping an eye on you all last month but just wasn't organised enough to go for it.

I'm still not organised but that's usually the case so I'll just need to go with it and learn as I trundle along! My problem is less spending money on lunch when I forget it (there's not a lot close-by) than just skipping it altogether. And I'm not one for breakfasts so that's not good!

I'll aim for 14 lunches brought in from home. I'm hoping for 4 out of 5 each week but have added a wee cushion given I know I'll find it tough! :)

I have made a pot of lentil soup tonight so tmorrow is sorted. :D

I was waiting for this thread to go up :)

Please put me down for 16/20 HM lunches, though in all fairness I should really be able to do 20/20.

  • ZERO LUNCHES for me this month please. I'm determined to start as I mean to go on. Its saving me a fortune. I've had to buy milk this morning but its for everyone in the office ........so I can claim it back thru petty cash. Couscous from home and a yogurt today!
  • Hi all

I'd really like to try this, as paying for lunches has been quite the drain on my purse - I had no idea how much until I started my spending diary a couple of weeks ago!

The twist is that, as I don't work outside the home (and so I lunch here anyway), I'd like to do it on behalf of my eldest daughter, who is the main one having difficulties with lunch from home (sandwiches are really not her thing). So, I'd like to put her/us down for 15 lunches from home. I hope that's ok! It would really spur us on to be a bit more inventive :D
