I can't find fixx's original post, but the following might be slightly more correct (but not bad, Roshy! :T):

"Pardon, mais je ne parle pas courrament le francais. Pouririez-vous/ Veuillez (vahy-ay) parler un peu plus lentement pour que je puisse mieux comprendre, ou si votre anglais est mieux que mon francais, discutons-nous en anglais...*"

"Sorry, but if I don't speak fluent French. Could you please speak a little slower so that I can understand better, or if your English is better than my French, let's talk in English..."

    * Say this last bit with a twinkle in the eye, and chances are that they other person will be more than happy to go a little slower! ;)

thanks for the correction, its been a while (sadly) since I have spoke any French and it's scary how fast you lose it. I used to be between intermediate and advanced in the language and now I think i'd struggle to say I'm intermediate. Think I need to be immersed in the country for a couple of weeks to get me back up to standard :D

Possibly an addendum to Erma Bombeck? 'Don't save the scented candle - it might not be very good anyway' :rotfl:

One sort of UU My son has been using the OS Mint and Tea Tree which he abandoned when it spluttered and moved on to "my" OS Lemon and Tea Tree.
There was enough left for my shower once I'd levered the cap off and had a hoke and a poke round with my little finger.

WIBA? Yes, but not for me this year and hopefully he'll use the Radox that HE bought next! I love the Mint and Tea Tree but there are enough lovely other gels and creams in the stash to make me not miss it.

I use clear mascara too! Am using the Natural Collecton £1.99 one at the moment so will check out the Collection 2000 one next as it's even cheaper! Thanks Ruby! Also you could try vaseline on a cotton bud Rosemary if you have any lying about? I also liked the Benefit 'Brow Zings' kit when they tried it on me, but don't think it's worth paying all that money when clear mascara/vaseline works just as well! (I do have dyed eyebrows though)

I find that the Collection 2000 one has longer bristles on the spoolie so it combs through the lashes easier and sets them better than the Natural Collection one. But that's just me, I have bushy but groomed brows!

  • Another UU to report - Mark Hill Conditioner WIBA? hmmm maybe if it was on offer but thats my answer to most of the UU so far :rotfl:
Didn't like the bottle though - not squeezy just a big hole at the top- so I always pour too much out then try and put it back in and 1/2 of it runs down the sides of the bottle  Anyway plenty more conditioner in the cupboard :o

Sounds just what I need! Will definitely try Collection 2000 next - I have a sort of sticky up bit at the end of one of my eyebrows which needs glueing down! :rotfl:

Sarah*a - didn't realise you had family serving! I wouldn't have tried to teach you to suck eggs :) Perhaps you could ask your brother for the names of people in his unit who don't get many care packages sent, and we could direct them that way - sometimes it's nice to keep it in the 'family'?

oh no need to apologise :D it's nice to know people who don't have serving family members care too :D It is a really good idea - I have left him a message asking him to call me but I have a funny feeling he's somewhere hot far far away on training for a couple of months (not dangerous just 'boring 'cos there's no nightlife' :rotfl:) I'll keep you updated when I hear from him :p
Lush make a soap called The Godmother which has the Snow Fairy smell, don't know if that's of any use to you?

oooh yes - thank you :T:T:T
Possibly an addendum to Erma Bombeck? 'Don't save the scented candle - it might not be very good anyway' :rotfl:

:rotfl: :T Yes I can imagine that would be worse - saving it for a special occasion and then it not being good enough :(

I've popped in early (for me) today as I've been to town :o:o and I'm going to need time on the naughty step :o:o

    IN's
Using my £5 Voucher in BS - Peppermint Cooling Leg Gel - Did need one as don't have one in my stash and my legs are playing up at the moment so am OK with the £2 actual cash spent here :p
Using my £5 Skincare Voucher in Boots - Time Delay Eye Cream - Don't have one in my stash and the one in use is 3/4 gone so figured I might as well get one while I had a voucher.
Sure Women Minimising AntiP - clearance at 50p and felt like a change from roll-on - now have one deo in stash and one in use
Boots Expert Leave-in Thickening Conditioner - clearance at 76p - probably could have lived without this :rotfl: but I've been slightly paranoid since the woman who did that hair test thing the other week told me my hair was thin :o

Actual cash spent was £4.40 - and I got a big boots jute bag for £2 and a Celia Birtwell Shapers Bag for £1 so will sit on the 'I shouldn't be buying that either' step too :o :rotfl:

Of course I've now got another voucher to avoid spending :rotfl:

Also got my Barry M set from Superdrug - Have kept the eyeliner as DD recommended it and the one I was using has gone crumbly :o and the other bits are in the gift cupboard :D

Mind you - I wouldn't have been in bl00dy Boots if my Dr hadn't given me a new prescription to fill today ;) (Superdrug & BS are entirely my fault :rotfl:)

also made a teeny tiny Avon order today with the free postage - just £5.50 on some night serum and cherry ice foot spray both in clearance - won't count it til it's in my hands :rotfl:

Hope you are all having a good no buying day

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:... we can still read it! :p

I haven't bought anything this month, been properly good so far :D
