I'm still catching up on posts but I just had a little thought.
Whilst almost bursting with pride that N.P.I. has made our list of abbreviations:D:p it occurred to me that perhaps pink candle philosophy ought to be there too? What do you think?
I agree - I think we should be having PRC moments when we manage to use up something nice that has been particulary cunningly saved!0 -

Er, you didn't mention what magazine that was....purely out of interest as there is no way anyone on here would follow your very bad example...:D...especially now you are on the naughty escalator (and me thinks you aren't lonely there with a few others for company! :rotfl:Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -

think this was the magazine that said this was the year for not so pluckd brows and longer skirts (just when I had my brows threaded and started wearing shorter skirts in 2010!!!!0 -
I'm in again too please:)
I've just updated January's thread with a final purchase for the month that you lot talked me into :eek: (Batiste dry shampoo)
So my UU for Jan was 8 and total spend was £9.43
Also got my first UU for the month this morning - Tresemme dry shampoo - WNBA - it does the job but Batiste is cheaper (so yesterdays purchase wasn't all bad- as 1 can already in use:D)
I've updated my sig with Jan's total and I'm off to catch up on all the pages now that I've skipped - boy you lot can chatter :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Save money on toiletries: no new/duplicate items until I've used up all existing supplies

I can't remember who it was on the Jan thread that said they were going to buy 6 copies of Glamour, it made me laugh :rotfl::rotfl: i'm on mat leave and should be able to walk again by 3rd March so i'll be off to buy a couple too..... I've been using Botanics moisturier for 10 years so going to try something different when i've used up my stash....
I think I can manage not to spend anything in Feb (glitches permitting) especially as i'm going to be mega busy, but dont think i'll be having very many use ups though either

Belatedly, ............well that's how it feels, it's still only Feb 1st, but there are 80 odd posts ahead of me and I'm usually signed up on the first page...............I'm in again for Feb :rotfl:
One purchase, but that's OK as it was required, Dove coloured hair shampoo from Poundland.
Naughty DD brought home another BS body butter at the weekend. Now normally I don't like them really as don't like fruity, nutty, vanillary smellies. This one is Moringa and it's DIVINE! Why didn't I notice it before?!!!
Anyway, there is the small matter of the discarded Nuix de Coco one she's left in the bathroom....but I'm going to use that with sugar as a hand exfoliant. Have been liberally dipping into the new one today and slapping it on my decolette , while she's at work, just because I love the fragrance. :T0 -
I'm in again! I think I sent around £20 in Jan, but that was mostly gifts!
Had to throw out a natural collection tinted lip balm today. I may buy it again because it's cheap, but wasn't overly impressed with it.Saving all my pennies0 -
.....Is it possible to use bubble bath as shower gel or is it too concentrated for that and I'm risking skin rashes? I notice the Body Shop bottles I use are labelled as bath/shower gel, so is there really any difference, or is it just a marketing con to get us to buy both??
I use bubble bath as shower gel (and vice versa) - in fact at the moment anything counts as bubble bath/shower gel in my 'splutters graveyard' bottle - there's bubble bath, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand cream all in one bottle and I'm still clean and bath is still bubblysundance218 wrote: »
I was thinking on trying actual talc in my hair before I go to sleep at night but not sure exactly how it would work. WOuld probably have to do it on a night where I would have time to wash my hair just in case!) Has anyone tried this?
I have tried it - in my youth - and my tip would be 'less is more'and brush it out really well or you'll be left with odd dry white streaks
Time-wise I prefer the cans :T.....Whilst almost bursting with pride that N.P.I. has made our list of abbreviations:D:p it occurred to me that perhaps pink candle philosophy ought to be there too? What do you think?
Lovely idea :T:T
Well I've managed to get through day one of February unscathedIt helped that I didn't actually leave the house :rotfl: (cancelled the shopping as OH having a v busy day at work and CBA'd
)
Going to have a lovely pampering bath tonight as don't need to wash my hair(but do still need to do my blinking legs
)
Bring on tomorrow :cool:0 -
Hi everyone, could I please join in?
I don't have a massive stash but I'm terrible for saving things for best then never using them. I sometimes think I enjoy the purchasing of products and the curiosity surrounding them more than I enjoy actually using stuff. I really need to make time for pampering and using stuff up. I would love to just have one of everything in use rather than several.
In terms of the forbidden 'grabbit' board I can't stay away from it(that should be a seperate challenge in itself!) so whenever I see a grabbit I make sure if I'm buying anything it's not for me but for my gift stash which I keep a check of so once someone has an allocated gift that's it. It takes the edge of not buying anything and it means I still get a bargain without adding to my stash- Well that's the theory anyway, if it was that simple I wouldn't be joining this thread
