I would include it as an IN but only include in the sig the amount you have actually spent in cash. Sometimes I do online surveys and if they do not have the option of paypal then I might ask for a voucher.

Last week I used a £10 voucher in B**ts for hair dye but I have not counted that as a cost. I only add what I have paid with cash. Same with gift cards, I mean if somebody gives me as a present a £50 gift card instead of toiletries for £50, I would not count whatever I buy with the gift card, since it is a present.

I only add what I personally spend from my purse :o, which is for me a realistic way to know if I am spending too much from my salary. Anything else (gifts, vouchers, points...) I do not count. If you were going to buy it in the sales you would not put the first initial RRP but what you have paid, so I consider points to be a personallized discount :D

    Same here.

I only include in my spends things that I've actually spent money on (i.e. not AC points). I keep a spreadsheet of all my incomings and outgoings and it is great. So I tot up the 'toiletries' spend at the end of the month and am going to keep coming on here to confess it! :o

My sig shows the (approx) value of the stuff I've UU since starting the challenge a year ago. It is scary and a good reminder to keep on using things up! I'm now just over £300!!!!

p.s. went to Boots at lunchtime and they have more 90% sale stuff out!!! I got a few sets of things for little girls (total about £50, I got them for £5!) and some stickers for toddlers (61p) - all for the gift cupboard. I also bought some Y**** C*** serum with the skinnie voucher. The nice kindly SA put it through for me, she was about 60 and really sweet.

It only cost about £11 with the voucher (usual RRP £24.99!!!!).

Now, to see whether it's as good as Genifique!

Sorry, I really am failing badly this month already :o:o:o:o

Oh Goodie I'm not the worst offender on this thread any more!:j I'm still 'clean' for Feb, and OFF the naughty step, but it's early days and I have sent off for the OLAY freebie (thank you whoever posted that!) - that doesn't count though, right....? :j

One IN, but an essential for me. I'm down to the absolute dregs of my Elemental Beauty mineral powder make up, I reckon about 1 or 2 more applications in the pot. Lately my skin has been looking really cakey when I've worn this, and rather dry (I suspect its the weather as it was fine in summer) so I've decided to go back to liquid foundation. Now, what I really wanted was EL Doublewear but at £25 a go I can't afford it this month:( so I've got Rimmel Stay Matte at £5.99. I do like this, it gives enough coverage without really looking like I've got it on IYKWIM. I managed to go into Boots and Superdrug and only got the foundation (Boots didn't do the shade I wanted:mad:), so was quite happy with myself :D
I'd been toying with the idea of the No7 Tinted Moisturiser but Pale is too pale and Medium to dark, and I cba mixing them together:eek: so gave up on that notion.

Someone was asking about body scrubs earlier, I have a bit of an issue with having matching sets of things (OCD?) and had been thinking that I'd have to get the scrub that goes with the shower gel & butter I'm about to start. But I was very :money: and dug out a pack of massage sponges (bit like a scourer, sponge on one side, scrubby on the other) so I can exfoliate while I wash :D I think they were about £1 for 3:T
  • Thanks for the lovely welcome guys!

No UUs yet (my Cath Kidston hand cream is threatening to go but every time I think it's finished there's another splurge of it!), but it is PYNT. I think I'm going to go for Boots 17 Poncho Pink, which is a proper neon 80s pink, with Nails Inc Harley Street base coat and Seche Vite top coat.

Does anyone who uses a body puff also use body scrubs as well. I've thought about putting my shower gel in one of my liquid soap pump bottles and using a body puff I've got but also have body scrubs to use up as well and didn't want to scrub my skin too much.

I have a Body Shop body puff (not using it at the moment though in an attempt to get through things faster as I normally use two squirts of shower gel if I'm doing it 'by hand' to one in a body puff) and I also use body scrubs. That said I do have a tendency towards dry skin patches so my life is a constant attempt to try and keep my skin as smooth as possible, but I must say I don't find body puffs particularly 'scrubby' - they're more like buffing your skin whereas the scrubs tend to be a bit more thorough about getting rid of dead skin cells. I normally use my hands for scrub though as as well as scrubbing my hands it feels a bit like the scrub can disappear into the body puff and therefore makes it a bit useless.

Re: toothpaste/deodorant etc, that goes in my 'stuff I would buy anyway' category along with things like skincare and straightener spray and dry shampoo, because I don't really stash those things and instead just buy when I need to (although if, say, there's a 3 for 2 on haircare in Boots I will buy three bottles of straightener spray because I know I'll use it).

IN: at end of last month I stocked up with 4 boxes Garnier nutrisse multi-lights kit 1 (blonde) hair colour It saves me hunting around for it later, anyone else had the same problem? I'm wondering if it's been discontinued or something...

    No one else use it?

Also as you ladies are so knowlegeable with products I was wondering if anyone can recommend a non smelly shampoo which treats a dry / itchy scalp?

Sorry not the best comment I have made but I really suffer with flakiness :( I use T Gel which does work but it smells so medicated and I wash my hair in the mornings so getting to work with smelly hair isn't something I really like to do, any help would be much appreciated.

Also another UU: HBM conditioner. WIBA? Much the same as shampoo, good value for money and lasted ages so yes probably if it was on offer. :)
