  • I have one more UU to report: a Richard Ward hair straightener protector spray. Had it for about 4 years no joke, it just never seamed to finished.
WIBA? Yes I would, I tend just to buy what's on offer though - don't have a HG for that.

    No one else use it?

Also as you ladies are so knowlegeable with products I was wondering if anyone can recommend a non smelly shampoo which treats a dry / itchy scalp?

Sorry not the best comment I have made but I really suffer with flakiness :( I use T Gel which does work but it smells so medicated and I wash my hair in the mornings so getting to work with smelly hair isn't something I really like to do, any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi Hazz

I also have a dry/itchy scalp due to my psoriasis. I used to suffer from flakiness too but not anymore. For the last year I have used Lush Retro Recon (a scalp reconditioiner, this can only be bought online). You massage into your scalp and leave it for around 15 minutes, I often leave it for much longer though and then I wash with a normal schampoo (at the moment I am using LE) several times since your hair gets really greasy from the Lush product During the last schampooing I also massage in Dead Sea's spa magik conditioning scalp mud from Debanhams. I only wash my hair once a week and I have found the Lush product and the scalp mud absolutely brilliant and I very rarely now use cortison in my scalp and the itchiness and the flakiness is gone.

Good luck in finding the right product for you and please let us how you are getting on.

  • Hi All

I've got 3 more UU to report - the first for February! - Mark Hill Straight Shampoo and Mark Hill Straight Conditioner (75ml), WIBA? NO! - I found the shampoo very drying and the conditioner didn't do a very good job. To be fair I really like a "creamy" shampoo so this just didn't do it for me. I've got a full size of both the Shampoo and Conditioner - I'm going to use them separately - I've got a full-size S&G Shampoo to use next so I'm going to use that with the Mark Hill Conditioner and then use the Shampoo with a different Conditioner, hopefully that will make all the difference. My other UU is a No.7 Essential Moisture Day Cream (15ml) - this seemed to last forever - but it's a !!!!!! to get the last of it out of the small bottles. WIBA? Probably - but to be fair I've got quite a bit of moisturiser in my stash so I've got to work my way through that first.

Wishing you all a happy Friday - and Good Luck Roshydoshy!

Hmm - there seem to be a lot of INs going on this week!!

To thevicster - great stash! Am envious of your BS purple holdall and your TWO S&G hatboxes - I felt like I could just reach into your picture and pull out one of your lovely body butters, LOL!!

I opened my stash drawer tonight to do a pic but it's soooo tightly packed in layers 2 deep, I was scared I would never get it all back in. Maybe that's a weekend event!
RoshyDoshy - thinking of you tomorrow! Although you should be getting your beauty sleep now after all that pampering and buffing....:A

To HAZZ - I used T gel for a while for excema in my scalp but couldn't bear the smell either. Have you tried baby shampoo?
Becky - thanks for the LUSH hair tip, but not sure I want to shop online there in the near future after their major hacking problems...maybe I'll ask if they can order it to instore.:o
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!
  • Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to this thread, but I find it such an inspiration! I have a huge CRATE full of toiletries, as usual, made matters worse when I went crazy at Boots when the stuff was reduced, Body Shop sales didn't help...etc, then there was the Molton Brown shower gel freebie with any purchase etc etc. The way I am trying to curb my addiction at the moment is to get as many free samples as possible, thus satisfying the need to try luxurious products without spending money or taking valuable space....

Well done to everyone for your successes so far...I still have a loooong way to go with any of my products. And now although I have millions of other things, I am actually out of bubble bath. I'm thinking to help me get through the other stuff, pour shower gel under the running tap and it'll froth the same! x

Hi Juliebunny, If you cannot order it in store, call Lush and do your order over the phone that's what I did when I ordered it in the Summer of 2009. If you do manage to order it in store then please let me know, mine shall be running out in a couple of months time.

I know what you mean with the hacking problems, when my credit card statement came through last weekend, 2 transactions had been done fraudently on my card so I shall definetely be more careful when I am using my card.

Welcome to the thread Duckmuffin, good luck with this challenge. This thread has been an inspiration to me as well. There is so much more space in my bathroom cabinett. Using a shower gel under the running bath tap shall do the trick perhaps mix it with a bit of bath oil (if you have any), that's what I do when I occassionally have a bath.

I have 3 UU's to report and 1 item thrown away:
LE skin repair moisturiser for dry/sensitive skin, this has been my HG moisturiser for years but no more, it no longer feels rich enough. I shall now move on to use a set of different Dr Hauschka sample moisturisers that I got for Christmas.
Used up a sample sachet of Nivea Antiwrinkle Q10 plus eyecream, this one was really good so might buy again.
Another eye cream used up as well, No7, this one was ok but wont be buying again. The jar was annoying I thought this cream would be finished about a month ago, but lots of cream hiding underneath the edge of the jar. Now using a sample size of No7 for men eyecream that my OH didn't want.
Threw away: BS Nutriganis face mask a tiny sample pot. This one was awful, I like my facial masks really light and nourishing, this one was neither of this.

  • Happy February everybody!

Good luck for tomorrow roshydoshy!

    Love your stash pics, thevicster!

I photographed mine the other night and uploaded it to flickr, however I can't seem to get the pic to appear on here, so here's the link if anyone's interested...

I don't think it's too bad compared to some, though I haven't included nail varnish or makeup (I have a decent amount of each but all different shades, so trying to use them but not use them up, so to speak!).
