if a bit naughty (not that I can talk!) - yes, think we are going to have to crank up the naughty step for March - polishing it sounds harsh but fair!
Think we need some more pis on here they are such fun - a few people posted their BS voucher hauls on that thread, it was like you were sharing their shopping experience!
My bestie and me have agreed today we MUST improve our willpower in march. Please no more mention of the Glamour magazine....she is really struggling with that one...
More what?????????????????? :eek:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

I too have become dis-illusioned with some of the large charites - I won't list any here because they do still do a lot of good work and I would still rather they existed than not. I really think it's awful that children's welfare should be dependant on charity though. I'm sure that most of the fund raisers are no better than mercenaries (sp?) though and not actually linked otherwise to the charity - next time they call, ask them how much THEY give to it.
Couldn't agree more juliebunny!
I raise money for a local charity. I spend the money on cat food and FEED it to them, then clear it up when it comes out the other end  - so I know exactly where every penny goes :rotfl:. Also support a donkey/horse charity (The Brooke). I told them from the start I didn't want any marketing, correspondence NIL. They have complied with this.
I support a horse charity too (Mare and Foal Sanctuary in Devon) and The Dog's Trust too as I work in a betting shop and I feel terrible at the thought of what may happen to the ex-racers
A few outs to report today gone to good causes: Next body souffle, and wash (minis), cleanser and toner (minis), Estee Lauder eye shadow set, and mascara.bargainbetty wrote: »I know, Vicster, I was stunned by it! I really couldn't believe it, and despite the third time of my asking them not to, they still send me begging letters!
The British Legion do well out of it though
I've not bought anything since joining, I've UU or got rid of more than 20 bits and bobs, and I think I can get through March without buying anything too! Am very glad to have found this thread - I needed the kick up the backside to use stuff that was gathering dust.
See you all next month x
Madness! I will definitely donate to the British Legion next time I see a collectorjuliebunny wrote: »Nice haulif a bit naughty (not that I can talk!) - yes, think we are going to have to crank up the naughty step for March - polishing it sounds harsh but fair!

Edit: erm, clearly I have too many books too!I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around[/SIZE][/FONT][/B]0 -

Nice pic thevicster.
Re the Glamour offer I am wondering if the more expensive stuff (moisturiser etc) will be few and far between and most mags will have the lip gloss, mascara etc. I've never used Clinique skincare and was going to get a couple of mags to try some. The devil makes works for idle hands0 -

Thanks for interpreting my 'more pis- correctly as more pics!! :T
Lurving your shopping haul!! i couldn't get my pic to actually show, just a link, not nearly as much fun! Can't wait to get my BS voucher spent. Was supposed to be today but for reasons I won't bore you with it's been postponed. I noticed they've removed the free P&P deal from their website....
I'll get out my Mango set and put it next to my laptop to complete the overall picture!! :rotfl:I wish they did a satsuma set - hrumph.
PS We have a greyhound rescue shelter just down the road. They used to take in from Walthamstow but I guess they take from Harlow now. You can go up there any walk the dogs anytime you like, if you can't actually take one on full time.Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
I have another UU
I've been on a roll this week
Vaseline Rosy Lips - WIBA: No, this doesn't moisturise very much and I don't like the colour, it's a bit to dark for me.
I've had a good February, no spends
I'm not sure about March though, sometimes I like buying um, multiple copies of a certain magazine and they 'give' me things. It's not a real toiletry spend though because i'm um, buying them for the magazine:rotfl:
No buying toiletries challenge - Started 10th May 20100 -
Can someone tell me if I'm too late for the sending toiletries thing (sorry can't remember the name)? Also can I just write the address on what I send as I can't print anything?
I popped into Boots as I needed to top up my phone and just happened to look at the clearance where they had some JF shampoo and conditioner which I thought I would treat myself to, to cheer myself up. Added bonus that the SA put it through 342 so didn't cost me as much as it would have done. Had a really bad day today as things not going as well as expected.
Thought I would try and justify my purchase by sending off more than I bought in.Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j
Owe Virgin [STRIKE]£5,950.00 [/STRIKE]at 0% til June 2009 £3,427.89. Owe HSBC [STRIKE]£5,460.78 [/STRIKE]2.9% til May 2010 £3,703.07. Owe Post Office £1,676.62 at 0% til September 20100 -
have seen these pedicures on tv and wondered whether I would try them. Did it hurt at all?
No not hurt, but felt a bit prickly :rotfl: wouldn't mind but there's just been an article in the paper about the fish pedicures. Health and safety, infections blah blah blah...did worry a little about that myself but I figured I go swimming so much, I'm more likely to pick up something 'nasty' from there. Famous last wordsDon't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend...
