Bit of a random question for all the lovely people out there.

I'm trying not to buy anything new as have dozens of toiletries however i'm also trying to use what i have economically, i.e. not using way to much of one product just to get rid of it.

My question is how much body scrub do you use in one wash/bath?

I've just used a fist full of the sancutary hawiian body scrub and though i might have gone too far.
(This might also have something to do with the fact that i'm a tad bit lazy and dont tend to work my products in correctly)

TBH I think you just have to gauge as you go as different brands of the same product have different levels of potency: just try using a bit less next time (say a third less), then see if that does the job just as well with less mess. Adjust accordingly from thereon in, and make a mental note of your results.

    It's what I do, at least. :)

  • Boy, I have been so well-behaved this weekend.... went in to goodness knows how many shops in Glasgow and Edinburgh and made no purchases in toiletries whatsoever.

My friend got a hand lotion from Lush, too tired to think which one.
I did enjoy sniffing and spraying in Lush, though and so nearly broke my resolution with a solid body butter and tin. But I held firm.

One of the Lush perfumes puzzled me - Lust. I've never smelt anything that smelt more like cheap children's sweets. Calling it 'Lust' seemed downright inappropriate.

'Breath of God' in Lush was exactly like a lovely Irish perfume called Inis, that I used some years ago (when I had an Irish boyfriend :D )

Vanillary - sheesh, that's overpriced for a bogstandard vanilla. That's all it is, imo.

I did buy one small ish tote bag from the retail outlet at Gretna Green, :o but this was because I needed a sturdy bag for the coach to hold magazine, book, drink, travel sweets etc etc, and leave on coach so that my backpack was nice and light when shopping....

The only placcy bag I had on me was a mega-thin Heron one.:o

SJP - Welcome to little Immy! Happy, happy news.

The new wet and dry Hoover from Amazon Vine came yesterday :j and is sat in the kitchen, still in its box. Which is HUGE.

  • Sounds like your weekend was good fun And - well done for holding firm on the toiletries thing too! :T

  • It was great, thank you - a cut - price coach deal, advertised as a luxury weekend, and it was.

Hotel room was lovely, newly modernised, very comfortable. Food was very good too ... and Buchanan Street Galleries shops in Glasgow and Princes St in Edinburgh were excellent spots to practise retail therapy.

This whole post made my day! :rotfl::rotfl:

I LOVE UG stuff, it just smells so lovely! Particularly the Pure Beauty range. Not entirely sure that the overnight stuff does anything (but I'm not sure that anything does anything for me at the moment!) but the smell is just gorgeous!

I'll keep on until Monday with the S&G then, glad your skin has got better, hope mine does too, it looks . I've been using a primer with spf as I don't have any day cream with spf, so hopefully that was the right thing to do! Maybe I should have bought new day cream...:D

Do persevere with it, it'll be worth it. My skin has defo cleared up since I finished. Keep us posted! :)

I am tempted by the UG overnight treatment at 3 for £10, but then I think I should save my pennies and put it towards PK Elasticizer instead. Dilemma...!

p.s. glad I made you laugh. :rotfl:

    Right, bit of a dilemma! I've saved some money in my paypal acc by ebaying to buy myself a little treat! But what to get! I've narrowed it down to either;

Benefit One Hot Minute face powder
    Benefit Georgia face powder
    Benefit Girl Meets Pearl
    Benefit Get Even blotting powder

Does anyone have any suggestions? I had all these used on me at the Benefit counter and loved all of them but am going to be very good and get just one at a time when I've ebayed enough! I already have the Benefit Powder TIme collection, and a pressed powder, but think the things above are for a bronze type look which I would like to try :)

Haven't got any of these except Georgia, which I like, but I much prefer Dandelion. IIRC it's in the Powder Time Lover set, but I think you should buy a full size anyway! Or maybe Dr Feelgood (love this stuff). HTH!

I had too much time on my hands this evening... started messing about with my godforsaken blackheads, squeezing them with a cotton bud. Managed to get rid of two, one has swollen up so I probably didn't get it all out (sorry if TMI :D ). So I covered it in spot gel. Then I showered and tried my new Sanctuary microdermabrasion stuff. I really liked it, it's fab stuff and does heat up! My skin is now lovely and smooth. I am very tempted to get more of this stuff with my remaining skinnies, but also want to try the Time Delay microdermabrasion or glycolic peel kits. Has anyone tried them???

p.s. mcculloch29, what is non-toiletry exfoliation? Sounds like a carpet burn! (oo-er missus :rotfl: ) Your weekend sounded fab, I love Edinburgh. Only been to Glasgow once for about 2 hours but it looks like a lovely city as well.

I've had a monumental fall off the wagon this weekend  I fell sooooo far I'm amazed I didn't break my neck :rotfl:

    IN
    - CK Euphoria Blossom 15ml bottle for £8 inc P&P on eBay. I lurve this and just had to have some. Twas a bargain tho!
-BS Rainforest Radiance S&C minis. While I was browsing I decided it'd be rude not to get a Moringa gift set (for myself) as so many of u love the smell. So 2x £2 + £5 -25% - free delivery= £6.75
-Naked Richness Revealed S&C at 2 for £6 on boots.com
-S&G Clean Mary, Butter Up & The Daily Smooth on eBay. With combined postage I should get all 3 for less than £10 delivered from the same seller.
    -S&G I-Foam, Clean Girls & Scrub Of Your Life 3 for 2 on Boots.com
-And I intend to get the discontinued FCUK stuff at some point this week too, so a confession in advance:p

If anyone wants me for the rest of the week I'll be over there on the naughty step:o:o:o

 Hello! Been dipping in and out over the last couple of days.
Funnily enough, read that and thought, where's Jacksxx? And there she is!
I've been trying to get sorted with all of my ebay sales. So far I have sold lots of items. Didn't even occur to me to sell the Avon roll on perfume. Might stick it in the box to go on the next free listing weekend. Anyone know how much they are usually?
No ins for me (of the toiletry variety- but spent all of my not yet recieved ebay proceeds and more on bits such as wallpaper and paint for my dining room. It's going to look beautiful when it's done :D).
    Congratulations SJP.
Belated Happy Birthday Trudij and Valm.
No more UU's at the moment.
Tried the Olay freebie. It is very thick isn't it? My face needed it though today and it has soaked in. Shall see how I go over the next couple of days as I'm spot free at the moment.

Hi Kaz! Post some pics of your dining room when it's decorated, I'd love to see it xo

What did you mean by your eBay question 'how much are they usually?' Listings? If 99p or less it's free, otherwise they charge you on a sliding scale. BIN is 40p IIRC.

  • evening/morning (?) ladies,

hope you've all had a good weekend

I have another uu - elemis pro-collagen marine cream 15ml, this is lovely but tbh I don't think I'll buy it again, it doesn't have HG status for me and I have far too many other pots and potions to get through.

I've moved on to a pot of Lancome primordial which was a 15ml gwp forever ago. Does anyone know if it's supposed to be the colour of pale butter or have I just had it waaay too long?

Well done Jacks - Think you could offer some online tutorials to show us how to...... :D

Another out to report on. Donated to my mum L'Occitane Mositurising Mask for dry skin. No idea how I got this product but as I don't have dry skin I think it was a gift. Mum is delighted and we have developed a bartering system so I got some daily shower cleaner and a new lint roller. :)

    Another £2 in my pot.

mcculloch29 - I'm glad you had such a nice shopping experience in my home town and still stayed strong. You certainly have very good taste in your shopping destinations - Princes Square is lovely.

Would it work better if you tackled the blackheads after a shower rather than before? Just thinking the warm steam would open the pores.

Havent tried the Sanctuary, but I love Avon's thermal cleanser. Wonder if that's been discontinued now - dont recall seeing it in the book for a while.
