ANOTHER Letter from Debt Collector..what to do?

Hi,
you should never have agreed this.
Littlewoods cannot sell an unenforceable debt. I would now wright to the DCA asking for a copy of the credit agreement.
The law is simple, if no agreement can be found by the creditor or their DCA= THE DEBT IS NOT ENFORCEABLE.
I think i would be telling the DCA to get knotted.0 -

When we called the DCA they said they had received it and we would receive it shortly.
Littlewoods also confirmed that they had sold the debt to the DCA.
We will just have to pay it, like the other debts we have paid off
O well... you live & learn...I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
Not really, you can cease paying until the credit agreement is provided.
Honestly, if this even made court it would be booted out.
I can muster a little letter together if you like....0 -

I TOTALLY agree with MCBIRNIE - of course the DCA and Littlewoods are not going to say that you don't need to pay, but ANY court in the land is going to tell them that they simply can not enforce this debt. If you haven't put anything in writing - don't pay.
I'm really sorry that I was away at the weekend - I would have suggested that you pm MCBIRNIE for a template letter.

We havent paid anything yet, due at the end of the month, and we should have the credit agreement by then...
And we REALLY dont want to get into a court situation.I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -
If this ended up near court I would pay the bill for you myself.
Once they got the letter the DCAs will leave you alone.
Believe me, a lot of experience here.0 -

I can understand your reluctance to get into a court situation, but please remember that the legal system exists as much for you as for the DCA or Littlewoods. It really is the one link in the process that they can not influence.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser.
