totally agree it is far worse than the result, I have aged at least 15 years in last 4 months! I am just hoping that my little one has got into one of the 5 we put down, if not the only other school that would have spaces is totally unacceptable...I have been so worried about this I have looked into home schooling her. Sounds drastic I know but I really can't see any other way at the minute. I missed Michelle Obama's school bit, been to wound up this week to watch any tv lol....

    Hi YNWA,

I'm looking forward to Saturday morning, at least then we'll know what we're dealing with. If it's any consolation, it sounds like your daughter has got a place in one of your five schools of choice as letters were sent out a few weeks ago to those who hadn't got a place in one of their chosen schools.

Good luck to all waiting for letters on Saturday. I hope all of our children get the schools they want.

    Hi Pink,

I had read that about the letters in a previous post but wasn't too sure if it was just another rumour. I really hope all the little ones gets somewhere they are happy with. My eldest didn't get into her 1st or 2nd choice a few years ago and was devastated for the entire summer. She literally spent months crying and saying she wasn't going to the school and no one could make her..... a massive 2 month tantrum !! She went and fell in love with her school and new friends and was happy from the first week, it's not the best school in my opinion but she has developed into a lovely, happy 3rd year girl and I believe that the friends she has made at the school will give her the confidence and self belief she needs to succeed in life. Hopefully whatever school the kids get into will turn out to be the right one even if it doesn't feel like that tomorrow.
I love the way you say 'at least we know what we are dealing with'.....much better way of looking at then my way of going slowly mental...lol
    Good luck to all,
    xx

YNWA, thats good to hear that your daughter is getting on well in the school she didn't want. My daughter makes friends easily and can adapt in fit in, so I know if she doesn't get what she wants it'll be fine in the end. Just kids can't visualize things.

My head is throbbing and on painkillers and I feel a bit woozy. Really wish it was this time tomorrow. Alcohol will be out tomorrow night regardless of the result!! And we are taking her and friend for a nice meal.

This is the most nerve wrecking thing so far in my life, sounds very extreme, but its true.

Good luck for everyone tomorrow. I can barely remember when I went through this but I know my mum was feeling the way everyone on here is. I also know that in a few years it will be my turn to have my nerves in shreds.

Good Morning all, just got our letter and it was her fifth choice, so she is very unhappy, it was the only secondary we put down so the standard must be very high this year. Hopefully the weekend will get better and the rest of you get where you want..xxx
