Oh I'm not sure now about that as both schools are outside the 3 mile radius. In our case Friends and Wallace are only a mile away, but Hunter House is about 5 miles, so we will have to be rejected for Friends&Wallace to get the bus pass.

In your case Banbridge Academy is 6 miles so you would still need a pass, so I'm not sure in that case. I don't think it matters about the high school if she has got enough for grammar.
  • Thanks - I'm hoping it will work in our favour based on what you have told me. We'll just have to apply and see what happens. Anyway not a lot I can do about it today and the sun is shining so I really shouldn't be on the web!!

Yes was a cracking day. My wee girl is having her friend stay over, the wii dance is still going! You'll be delighted if she gets into Friends, but a bus pass would be handy. I think you should get one. Only 4 weeks to go!!!

Just heard letters were received yesterday to anyone who needs to put in further options (ie borderline / hasn't got in to those chosen) Thankfully we didn't get one but still none the wiser!!

Thanks for that news Rach39 about the letters. We didn't get anything either, which means if he didn't get into any of the 3 grammars then it's the local high school 5 mins away. as you say none the wiser at the moment, but at least it's only a few weeks now until the outcome. It feels like FOREVER since the results came out in February.

Phew, I had a bad feeling I would be one of these people as I had only 2 options on my application form, but thankfully no letter yet :)

Isn't it strange that there are NO rumours flying around.....not a single one.......about cut off marks for getting into certain schools. I can't find out a single snippet to ponder on. I can honestly say I have thought about this whole process every single day since the exams were sat last November.

Unbelievable, that the transfer process takes 4 months to complete from February results. Compare it to A levels results for the whole UK which come out in August and by September all those 18 years olds know which university they will attend.

    Another 2.5 weeks to go............
  • at the parent info night last night. Pretty impressed.
mentioned that 92 was score of last pupil admitted last year.... it's all before us.

I'm back to logging in to this forum every day to see how other parents are coping with the results just 2 weeks away. I just want it all over and done with as it's been a VERY long year. Just to add to my woes we are away the weekend the results come out and not back till the Sunday night, so will have an extra day to wait for results!!!! I imagine I will be logging in to this forum while away and hoping to hear cut off marks on the day of the results.
