(bought a kindle yesterday...):o
OH bought me a Kindle for Xmas as I travel a fair bit with work and I absolutely love it - best present ever :j:j Took a bit of getting used to (bit like MP3s over CDs) but now I wouldn't be without it. I also invested in a nice cover for it.

At £25 I am sure I was kinda paying for the name too, but it's lovely and furry inside, and given the Kindle was £150 and I'll be using it a lot (and travelling a lot with it), I didn't think it was too much of an extravagance.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I lOve my Kindle too. It now keeps me motivated on survey sites as I collect up the points towards Amazon vouchers for e books
NSD number 8 for me today. Was hoping to go a full week but tomorrow I forgot I have Cat booked in for his annual vaccinations.0 -
Hi All,
Still really enjoying this challenge, and reading everyone's posts. Great to see everyone doing so well!
Can declare NSD no 8 for today, yesterday was spendy, part planned, part not, didn't end up going for the Mr M loo roll offer, too far out of my way if there was a risk of being out of stock as per others posts - thanks all. Ended up with 24 rolls of Charmin from L**l, seemed reasonable price and should last us ages, spent too much on other bits whilst I was there though - veered off list again - but I will save that update for the grocery challenge forumDebt Free since Nov 11 (ish) (except the £118000 mortgage) as at Jan 2013 but still hanging around DFW as I need to Stay On Track.

Number 5 today (& up to 2 in my mini challenge) :j
Felt really weird not doing my grocery shopping tonight, but i distracted myself by starting to wallpaper the bloke across the road's kitchen (& before anyone says anything, yes he asked me to do it, i didn't just randomly turn up :rotfl:)
I reckon if i could do my grocery shop on Monday, which is pub night anyway, & then put a couple of quid by for extra milk if needed, i could realistically only spend one day a week (apart from get together's with friends, which to be fair don't happen that often), which would be fab
Think i'll try it for a couple of weeks & see how easy it is to resist the lure of the shops....February NSD challenge 5/150 -
BTW, did I mention that last night I had a list of half a dozen things I 'needed' to get at lunchtime today as it was a spendy day.... and actually by this lunchtime I decided I only really needed one of them - a card for my bro's birthday, and spent an extra £1 on two little 'love bug' cakes for Valentines (currently hidden from OH) We don't normally do Valentine's so thought this would be a nice little treat. Had thought I'd prob be spending nearly £20 and spent only £3.50 instead :TFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi :j
Hoping I can join you guys. NSDs are a necessity this month as I battle to stay in my overdraft, let alone reducing credit cards
I have a plan in place, but need to make it through to payday first... not that easy as it's my daughter's birthday this month.
So I've set a minimum 15 days target for February:
NSD #7 so far.:A0 -

:hello:Hi holidayaholic and welcome to the NSD challenge, yes of course you can join in, everyone's welcome here provided they have a slightly off-the-wall sense of humour and don't mind the nonsense we sometimes (what, only sometimes:D) spout:D
I've added you to the front page, 15 as your target and 7 already nabbed - that's great going, well done:j:j:j
Good luck with reducing your debts, if you're not sure of anything just ask, we're always happy to help. Feel free to join in with the chat we're a friendly bunch.
Look forward to seeing your updates.

Hi lovely NSD gang :A
It’s Friday... and another week gone, where is the year disappearing to:eek::eek:..
Lots more NSDs rolling in today, well done everyone
:j:j:jPippi - yay!! to your first ever NSD, that’s brilliant!!
You make your own rules here, it really depends on what you’re working on cutting down and which areas you want to target. If you’re scheduling regular payments to your CC you may not want to include them. Have a look at BMF’s guidlines, there’s usually one post per page, you’ll find some hints and tips on there. Hope that helps x
You’ll fit right in if you like adventures and kippers, we’ve had some fair old adventures here (and loads of very smelly kippers):D
:j:j:jifwishes - for no 8, over halfway now. You’re doing brilliantly, keep going!
Love the cat wiggle:T
:j:j:jNym Mcfroglet - for no 4, you’re doing great. Sounds like a busy day today, fingers crossed for a no spend weekend for you
:j:j:jKeiss 21 - for no 8, halfway now, that’s brilliant!
Sounds like another busy day chez Keiss, liking the sound of your “office”, you’ll get there one day:T
:j:j:jjaffacakegal - for no 5, halfway now, keep going!
Good luck for today, hope you didn’t run out of petrol
:j:j:jrunnerbean17 - for no 5, nearly halfway, you can do it!
I love the idea of finding a packet of crisps at the bottom of your bag:rotfl:
:j:j:jTropicalmoments - for no 6, you’re doing brilliantly, keep going.
Oh dear, sorry you’ve had one of those days:(, hopefully the glass of wine helped
:j:j:jfillyfop - for no 7, you’re doing brilliantly, keep going!
A very organised day today, hope college goes OK tomorrow
:j:j:jcatslovelycats - for no 6, keep going you can do it!
Hope you enjoy using your kindle, they’re supposed to be really good and there’s no harm in treating yourself to something if you’re going to use it a lot.
:j:j:jDecluttering - for nos 2, 3 and 4, you’re doing brilliantly!
Glad the creme egg strategy is working:D
:j:j:jRock_Cakes - fingers crossed you manage to hold out on the milk front
And you did.. yay to no 6, you’re doing great!
:j:j:jbeanie - for no 9, yay!! and a magnificent 7 in a row, that’s fantastic!!:j:j
Hmm... present for your mum... does she read - a book is always good, or a brooch/pair of earrings/neckace if she wears jewellery, there’s some lovely inexpensive jewellery around, perfume, subscription to a magazine she likes. Is that any help?
:j:j:jwouldbeqaulitymoneysaver - for no 1, off the starting blocks now, that’s brilliant!!
Good luck with the budgeting challenge if you decide to go for it
:j:j:jPAP - for no 7, nearly halfway now, that’s brilliant.
The way you’re going, I think you’ll definitely exceed your target - you’re after the spaceship prize aren’t you?;)
:j:j:jelf06 - for no 6, yay indeed, you’re doing brilliantly, keep going!
:j:j:jboultdj - for no 6, you’re doing brilliantly, keep going!
:j:j:jcannp123165 - for no 5, halfway there now, that’s brilliant!
:j:j:jkdenty - for no 8, you’re doing brilliantly, keep going!
Oh dear, a mega-spendy day tomorrow at the vet then, I guess:(...
:j:j:jebsaver - for no 8, you’re doing brilliantly, keep going!
Glad you’re still enjoying the challenge and that it’s helping, good to hear!:T
:j:j:jBDINI - for no 6 (you’re on 6, not 5 - see page 30!:D) and for 2 in a row, you’re doing brilliantly!
I have a picture in my mind of you turning up at some stranger’s house with rolls of wallpaper now and it won’t go away.:rotfl:.....
Good luck with your one spend day a week, that’s very organised
Hello to:
jintyb - kippers on the way, you’ll smell them long before they arrive:D..... I saw a report of a mysterious shopper on the loose in Edinburgh today - was that you?
And what were you doing up at that hour of the morning - are you not sleeping again?:(
Cheryl - liking the logic on the cheese front - and like the sound of the cheeses actually, the choc and orange one sounds interesting and the chilli one would definitely be good on toast.:T Hope you enjoy them
kerri gt - eek to the vet bill and good news on the duvet and pillows, all sorted now:)
LittleMissHappy - another one needing milk, oh dear. Fingers crossed for tomorrow:)
loveGSDs - sounds as though you’re having one of those months,:( I think we all get phases like that. Keep going, even if you don’t meet your target this month any NSD gained is a bonus.
And no 8 for me today, very pleased with that:j
Front page all updated now, see you all tomorrow.
‘night everyone
