Just popped on to declare a NSD only to realise that it wasn't a NSD at all :rotfl:I'd agreed to go halves on a mirror at the auction and so shelled out the princely sum of £11.20. Still, it'll look lovely once the frame's repainted and it's hung in pride of place in the dining room. Finished decorating the lounge today, so starting to feel like I'm getting somewhere now. Just need to keep the energy going as I'm back to work tomorrow for 8 days on the trot and still need to keep the decorating moving before I go on my hols. Will deserve a good break by then!!!
Am rewarding my aching bones with a nice glass of red wine :beer:Official DFW nerd 187 :T Highest debt Oct 06 £23,319 _pale_ Cleared end 09. :T
Student again now and trying to fight the debts that are creeping up again :eek:0 -
NSD number 4 for me today.Free Films in 2011: Tangled, Chalet Girl, Never Say Never, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Another NSD for me thats #5 for me. Back from a lovely relaxing yoga class (paid for in advance
) so feeling very chilled. Well done everyone, we are all doing very well. My milk is getting critical but my DH has been instructed to bring some when he comes home for the weekend. So hopefully tomorrow should be another NSD, he he he. Am I getting a bit too bit obsessed?
Night everybody

Evening all! well I'm just back from 'vertical dance'
and am shattered! really good class though.
Thanks Jinty and SF for the advise about the duvet - however given the time, I'm gonna take a chance and hope they still have them tomorrow morning
Tropical - good news about the tooth - fingers crossed that's it sorted now.
Cheryl - I'm amazed you possibly have any room for any more cheese after that big haul not so long ago :rotfl:
Soooo....declaring NSD #5 for me, and 1/3 of the way to my target :j
Will be spendy tomorrow - cat going to the vet for her jabs so I might be in a&e after trying to get her in her carrier :eek:Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

But I likes my cheese I does
More's the pity, as I shouldn't eat as much as I do due to (marginally) high cholesterol and tendency to gain weight if I take my eye off the ball (or calorie intake verus calories burnt off)Cheryl0 -
My reeeeeeaaaaaally biiiiiiig haul was 6kg of grated mature cheddar. What I still have of it is all packed up into small portions in my freezers, and while great for sauces, pizza, etc., it's not ideal for sandwiches, cheese on toast (though it does this at a push), or on digestives/crackers

Ohh...I do prefer grated cheese in sarnies personally, no idea why. I'm very partial to cheese and ham or cheese and coleslaw - yum!
I'm like you, I LOVE cheese - I think it's cos my mum would give me a piece of cheese as a snack instead of a biscuit. I'm currently resisting the lure of some cheese n crackers which would undo all my good work at class this evening.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

So today was technically a NSD... but the grocery budget is looking a bit blown! Ho hum.
Thank you Spoon, the party was great fun, even if it did cause the final demise of our futon, which has been looming for a while! Fingers crossed the landlords will replace it, as it hadn't been originally put together properly so was never properly supported, and even when we moved in the frame was all twisted and breaking at the corners. It kept clunking ominously! We sent them pics of the state of it*, so maybe just not mention it broke during a party..?
What do you guys think? Is that dishonest? We were having a party so there were a couple of people more than usual on it, but only a couple! And it was pretty wrecked already...
Anyway, my technical NSD takes me up to 5/12 for Feb so far.
* EDIT - when we first moved in and found it!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”
NSD Challenge: August 2017 2/150 -
Hello lovely gang:A
Thanks to sf for the unexpected update tonight, that's brilliant:T:T:T
A quick catch up with everyone and some more NSDs to add to today's very impressive haul:D
jinty - great news about your DIL, hope she gets on well with her course. Kippers on their way now.. mind you, that was some very sensible spending today! Oh, another handbag junkie I see - we have a lot in common:o:o
elf - yes you have been away for 4 days and we've missed you:A
SuziQ1962 - good luck with the bank account, I know the feeling:(
:hello:Pippi - hi and welcome to the funny farm that is the NSD challenge. This challenge is like no other on MSE, as you'll no doubt find out (or may already have heard from Keiss). We have very intellectual chats here interspersed with a bit of fun, a few insults and kippers being thrown and general kicks up the bum (purely for motivational purposes, you understand:D). You're all signed up on the front page now, complete with your first NSD of today:j:j:j so I'm hoping you've managed to be strong and resist all those whoopsies - no looking at Cheryl's post now;). Good luck with your first month x
Keiss - hope you managed to avoid temptation today:D
lornz23 - glad we're helping
Looloo - glad things are finally sorted for you. Hope you can put all that behind you and move on now. Take care x
Nargle - enjoy your time away, you deserve it
kerri - I was going to agree with jinty and BDINI about the duvet but keeping my fingers crossed they're still available tomorrow
beanie - well done for 6 in a row, that's fantastic:j:j:j
Bexterragga - oh dear, I'm so sorry about the car:(, hopefully the bill won't be too massive, fingers crossed
Cheryl - wow.. I love those whoopsies, that's a lot of cheese though
Tropicalmoments - great news about the tooth, fingers crossed that's the end of it now
BDINI - glad you're feeling human again, great timing there!:j:j:j
Hannah - a glass of red wine cures most ailments, hope it worked on your aching bones and joints. Well done for finishing the decorating:j:j:j
Rock_Cakes - too obsessed?? nope.. that's not possible;)
And some more NSDs today:
:j:j:jkerri - for no 5, you're doing great. Good luck with getting your cat into the carrier tomorrow, I remember those days well
:j:j:jlotti379 - for no 5, nearly halfway now, that's brilliant!!
Hmm.. tricky situation about the futon, not quite sure what to advise on that one..
No NSD for me today, did the weekly shop and got a couple of things I needed. Should be no 8 tomorrow, very happy with my progress so far.
Front page all updated and looking good:D
'night everyone
