Hello all...well today was deff spendy, I am however the new owner of a lawnmower, should make a diff that it collects grass and it's soooo much lighter than the one I got off Freecycle, I can actually lift it easily with one hand, and it folds down so better for storage. Other one posted on Freegle now, I'm sure someone can use it and thought it only fair to pass it on to someone else as it was kindly given to me.

Also popped into TK M*xx...was going ok, tried on loads of stuff and whittled it down to two items...then...I saw a coat (i saw it on the way in but then found one in a S on the wrong hanger) tried it on and loved it.... then got a mattress topper for the spare bed, and a new make up bag....put one of the tops back I was going to buy (as wasn't 100% sure about it) but still spent far more than i planned  also stopped at Mr A for petrol on the way home as I was passing and it was 5p a ltr cheaper than here, and also popped into Mr J Lewis to get a sheet for the spare bed too.... oh goodness, tomorrow HAS to be a NSD now.....:o

Today remained an NSD - so that's #16 for me :T

Didn't go out for any comfort food - but haven't even found the energy to do any cooking whatsoever (I just chowed down on a whole pack of cocktail sausages with loads of tomato ketchup instead - and my belly is already complaining about the fat intake, as it can't handle large quantities any more !!!)

Didn't get over to see my chap - he's had one h*ll of a day with his inconsiderate downstairs neighbour, and when I spoke to him a half hour ago there were about a dozen coppers there trying to deal with something in the block of flats (plus he's had a visit from some folks from the council about his neighbour - I assume the noise nuisance team - who were also on their way back out)

At the moment it's looking unlikely he'll be fit for work tomorrow (due to lack of sleep on top of his other problems), although he's being pretty insistent he should manage the first part of the day (and will then just inform them he can't do the heavy walking part, and is heading home), so I'm now hoping he'll let me over at some point tomorrow.

He does sound a bit brighter though. During the last call he said that since talking to me last night he's not dwelling on what 'might be' and just feels as if he's got a heavy cold or the start of 'flu - so I'm a bit happier than I might have been with not having been able to get over and spend time with him in person :)

  • Toda was 12/12 :j:j:j

First time so very impressed with myself....will have to up it for next month ;)
Don't walk behind me; I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend...

  • ((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))) Cheryl, i'll keep my fingers crossed that the news isn't as bad as you are expecting.....

    Number 16 today :j
I've not been anywhere, just made a fruitless attempt to clean the house (with the dust from the bathroom covering everything within seconds of me cleaning it ), however the builder has dropped his stuff off & starts at the crack of dawn, so the end is in sight :j:j

Think i might treat myself to a bit of i player in bed & an early night, it's going to be a busy week!!

  • Have had a hectic weekend with my parents here, but managed a NSD yesterday (amazing for a Saturday!) taking me up to NSD#13. Am hoping for another tomorrow to finish the month on a high :p

  • (((CW))) Hope the diagnosis is not as you fear.

Well, DH was feeling low today & the driving rain outside wasn't helping, so we decided to go to a garden centre cafe for lunch & a mooch around today, so haven't got my last NSD yet.

I amazed myself yesterday by managing to do the weekly shop for £35 surprised-010.gif ~ admittedly I didn't buy much meat as we have a load in the freezer, but still, the total bill is usually over £70!

I've also stopped buying puddings & have been cake baking - I have a little pile of iced cupcakes sat in the kitchen at the moment & feel very domestic goddess! :rotfl:

Tomorrow should be a NSD as I'm at work & get a free lunch as I'm at a meeting, which is a bonus!

Looking forward to the March challenge - I'll pop over to the new thread in a minute to pledge my target!
