  • Just giving March a thought as Feb NSD has gone very well

Looking at the tips post from BMF and ifwisheswerehorses I am at uni for a full week in March instead of work, so, if I draw all the money out for that week needed for travel costs (which I can claim back) and coffee (can't claim back) on one day and count that as a spend day then leave it in the purse for the rest of the week and don't buy anything else on that day I can count that day as a NSD - ? Think so.

Deliberating a target for March and just weighing up whether to go for 20 or 17? Hmm will see how the rest of Feb goes and then decide

Home made oven chips were really yummy - OH said it was much nicer than the ones from the chip shop and the ready frozen ones we normally buy (think I might have made a MSE rod for my own back). They are so simple to make though - and do go a long way really - I used three decent sized spuds and that was plenty of chips for 2 adults (one being a very hungry one when he got home from work) Here's the recipie if anyone would like it - I boil mine in veg stock but I've used various Oxo cubes before, including an Indian one - which was surprisingly nice

The chips sound yummy kerri, thanks for the recipe i'll definitely be giving it a try!

Hold that head high and proud eBayqueen - 4 NSD is 4 more than 0, and any NSD is an achievement so well done you - fingers crossed perhaps for another one or two before the end of the month

Ebayqueen, i second what Kerri said, well done for 4!!

Number 13 for me today :j

  • Hi all. Been a busy (& spendy!) few days for me, but very nice.

Twas my daughters birthday so we've had a mummy & daughter day, doing pottery painting & visiting a cafe, then birthday yesterday we went to a soft play place, & today was the party where I took a bunch of 7 yr olds to see Tangled in 3-D at the piccies.

Has been lovely spending time with her as my toddler normally takes all my attention.

So no NSDs for me, but should be one tomorrow as I'm on a business trip & as long as I don't get tea / sweets / magazines on the train, everything else is reclaimable.

Just a few extra to get by the end of the month & 28th should be a NSD too, so I'm hopeful of meeting target. :)

Have been absent for a wee while as Dad passed away on Sunday evening. I haven't been adding up the NSD's but as there is so much to 'so' at this time, i have not been spending. I think i am up to about 15 NSD's at least though. I'm trying to keep things as 'normal' as i can, trying to keep myself focussed so i don't go totally insane with grief, hence why i am logging in to the site. Will update siggy shortly.
