Not a happy chappy, and I have a sore throat!!!! Well done Penpen....and others(throgh much gritted teeth!!!)
Flying.....up in the air a few times during the match????....no WM and TD put on in half time.......xx0 -
Phew ... ok i haven't been home from work long and i have sent my kids to tidy there rooms but i expect it will be tomorrow before i can get into mop them.
I've had a horrible night, got home from work at 9pm so haven't had tea yet (been out since 7am).
The asda order i ordered the other day arrived, disaster!!!! had to give the deliveryman 15 items back which i did not order and where not even on my order!!
5 items where missing which he refunded me for straight away and the rest ... well... 1 box of smashed eggs, 1 bag of mushed courgettes, 1 bag of really out of date parsnips that looked like shriveled up witches fingers, 1 butternut squash charged at 1kg .. it wieghed 500g (smallest butternut i ever did see) and a bag of popped crisps.
So then had to spend 15 mins on the phone complaining and getting a refund, bonus is as i only got 2 of the packs of mince i bought on 3 for £10 they let me have the 2 packs for free and they refunded my delivery as well as the other missing and mushed up items, which suppose isn't bad seeing as about 1/2 eggs survived, the butternut is usable as are some of the courgettes and parsnips.
So that took ages to sort out!!!!
Still it's only my 2nd day so i don't want to bail out so soon, what do you think is the minimum i can get away with doing on the list without being a total cope out?? am i just making lame excuses or should i get off my bum and do the list.
mommy im tired!!!0 -
just off to bed but thought I would share that my bathroom looks blimin gorgeous after the 2xHHC at lunch time, thanks all for a great week, and I never thought I would say that about cleaning:rotfl:
Pigpen you have my sympathy, I married a bloke who is stuck in the victorian age, according to him, men don't do housework, dont look after kids and dont cook, my daughter said if he was left on his own it would be the Life of Grime at our house. I used to use him as the reason our house was/is a mess, but no more and fingers crossed, I can try to have a nice tidy and clean house:) despite him:eek:
Oh no!! my OH tried that one for years till i told him to get his bum in the kitchen and do the dishes or move his bum back to his mothers.
He still doens't do quite his share concidering the hours we both work, but he makes an effort so i guess thats a start.
His biggest problem is he manages tidying anything on the floor but cleaning is an alien concept and if it isn't on the floor it must already be "away"0 -
EllieA shhh there's always the weekend to catch up
Besides it's not a competition - just suggestions
so if it doesnt get done, jump in again next time
Dancemum hope that ankle feels better soon! Hate having a fall in public
Pigpen Pub sounds favorite
List not attempted today - not feeling too bad so we're (thats me and DH) gonna sort the RoD tomorrow which will mess up the landing - no point cleaning it today in that case
He wants to get in the attic and the garage "I know that Prince Charming doesn’t come save me, we save each other and fight back to back against all comers that’s what marriage is to me. Nothing passive, no being carried off on a white steed, give me my own damn horse and lets ride into the sunset side by side." - Laurell K. Hamilton.0 -

haha well it's only been a month i'm still working on him.
He did in his defence give the livingroom a tidy/hoover today and he seem's to think he is scrubbing the kitchen from top to bottom tommorrow.
Im not getting my hopes up but we shall see (i think my bathroom blizt yesterday made him feel guilty, but i won't let it make me feel bad :rotfl:)0 -
sorry for the long post
I know this might not be the most high traffic place to post but as a lot of you are mums i thought you may have experienced similar before.
My boys are 8&6 and made friends with a couple of kids a few doors down at the end of the summer. They've been quite happily playing out the front of the house on the green most evenings and weekends since then. Another household of kids (4 of them all older) started coming out and joining in which was ok for a while until these kids started pinching toys and hitting, kicking my eldest.
I'm not saying mine are innocent and i know kids fight but one day it got to the point where they surrounded him and blocked him from getting back in the gate and punched/kicked him until i heard all the noise by which point they'd legged it.
I probably should have gone around there and said something but i'm not the type to cause trouble and just want to live in peace! so told him just to keep away from them and come inside if they came out in future.
Since then there has been minor goings on where these kids come over and start taking toys and generally annoying my 2. Each time they've been told to come in if they aren't happy.
Now they go out this evening and apparantly there was another of these fights over toys and mine are told to come in. Then while my youngest is crying his eyes out because he's been pushed to the ground and punched twice i have this kids dad come over to the house and start telling me how my eldest had hit his (older) kid with a plastic toy gun. Now i'm fuming and tell him what my youngest had said and all he was bothered about is me having a word with my eldest about hitting his kid and how my son is getting out of hand! Nothing really got resolved and i told him that i wanted them all to keep away from eachother.
I then find out once things have calmed down that the only reason my eldest hit this kid was to protect his brother. Now this is more of a vent and to ask what others opinions are as this dad thinks his daughter is an angel and wouldn't ever punch anyone when i've seen her do it! Not to mention that he didn't think much about his 12yr old hitting my 6yr old. This guy is properly stuck up and gives me the impression he thinks he's better than anyone else and his kids do no wrong, even though he admitted they'd had trouble before with other kids!
What do i do? Keep my kids indoors or let them get labelled as holigans for defending themselves and probably get more trouble at my front door from this guy? I'm so angry right now as i've seen the bruises these kids have given and they are quite happy to say myself/husband are lying infront of their parents.0 -

Go back to your original post on this subject and read and digest what people suggested to youNo-one promised you this would be easy - your house didn;t get into the state you describe in 2 days, so don;t expect it to be sorted in 2 days
Tomorrow is the weekend, so get everyone ready to help, and spend 60 mins (in small blocks of time if you prefer) and do level 1 jobs. You should notice the difference :T Then have a treat for all the family, and do another 60 mins on Sunday
Don;t try to do everything - you'll all beocme defeated. Baby steps, remember:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
EllieA, the way I look at it, as a Newbie here, the minimum I might do off the list is "nothing" but I have now actually started to keep a list (sad isn't it) of what I AM actually doing - picking things up here, quick 5 minute declutter there, change a bed, fill the WM ............ every diddy thing I do is better than diddly-squat, and the more I practise, and the more I learn lessons from everyone here, the nearer I am to something better.
Planning a series of mini blitzes with lots of HHCs tomorrow - just because I don't have chance during the week, but have high hopes of more declutters tomorrow, and of completing a few dots to give me focus. Perhaps you'll be around to keep me company?
Keep listening to everything folks say here ............ it's made lots and lots of sense to me, and has quickly taught me that I took a l-o-n-g time to create mess, and it's going to take me some time to clear it up - but I know these flyladies will help me do it, and keep me smiling along the way.Work is not my Hobby0
