Happy Birthday maybemischief.
Question. Are ALL Flyladies ('cept me) January babies, or are there really 365 of you keeping tabs on me?
I too visited the dark side after I'd found this thread. Scarey. Very, very, very scarey. I had a vision of a Barbara Woodhouse type person peering down her nose at me and yelling at me. Lots.
Me-thinks I achieve far more with Pigpen and Co's carrots, spiders and robins.
Right. Off to do lots. Please note that phase 1 will find me flying in my slippers and not a scrap of make up to be seen. Other than in a drawer of doom.
PS Can I be the nutty fruitcake please?Work is not my Hobby0 -
First flying lesson today;)
I am on holiday this week so a perfect time to turn our messy disorganised lives around.
my plan is
Saturday- binbag dance +++[ thank you Pigpen]

Sunday- declutter as if my life depends on it:D
also persaude DS to do the same
Monday-Friday flylady plan hopefuly to level 3 with a few extras thrown in!
this way i am hoping that when i go back to work I can get away with some level 1 and 2 days;)
wish me luck0 -
Inspirational posts 814, 816, 822 from Valli, Dusty and pigpen :AHey all
I came on all ready to have a moan about my seriously hellish few days but instead would rather hand out hugs and love and sticks and spoons to some lovely peeps who really need it.

You sound like you need a big hug yourselfQuestion. Are ALL Flyladies ('cept me) January babies, or are there really 365 of you keeping tabs on me?

Happy birthday maybemischief
(Is there a list of flyladies birthdays somewhere? :rotfl: how on earth do you guys remember:) )
Today I have started emptying the RoD!
DH says he'll help.
However it means all the clothes that were in there are now in the bathroom with a small walk way to the loo and the sink -:eek::eek:
Plan for today - Remove all clothes from EVERYWHERE! and have a parade of Do I wear this commonly, will I wear it when it's warm, Does this even fit me?
So I put the clothes we wear in the draws and wardrobe.
things that we will wear under the bed or in the attic
and things that dont fit (no matter how nice!!) to the charity shop.
then we can sort and find homes for things that were hiding under the clothes :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:"I know that Prince Charming doesn’t come save me, we save each other and fight back to back against all comers that’s what marriage is to me. Nothing passive, no being carried off on a white steed, give me my own damn horse and lets ride into the sunset side by side." - Laurell K. Hamilton.0 -
list.
I made the grown-up decision to get rid of a lovely good-quality Topshop coat that I got in a charity shop for £5 two years ago. I have to accept that it's too tight around my hips and hangs funny and there's not much chance of that changing anytime soon, especially since I made a batch of Peanut Butter Chocolate Pillows to fill the oven up when I was cooking tonight's spinach pie. :rotfl:
Great site and recipe, thanks, I've bookmarked it. xDFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Do not lose heart if you cannot keep up with everyone else or reading the thread, don't try to reply to everyone and please remember to include something about flying in all your posts, chat is for the weekend when your home is looking beautiful!!! Things will settle again in a couple of weeks so don't worry it will return to normal and we will hopefully have some new fledglings.Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week when it comes to housework, or just the motivation to do the dreaded housework tasks you have to do, come and join us, hopefully make it a little easier. You never know, you might start to enjoy it!Following requests to start things steadier for new members who did not realise the tasks list wasn't a must do, just an encouragement. There will now be level 1, 2 and 3. Level 1 being very basic it has been requested that this is just vital tasks for basic cleanliness, level 2 usually has some decluttering and clearing, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. If you want to do level 2 you add the tasks on level 1 with the level 2 tasks, if you want to do level 3 you add the tasks on, easy peasy. Choose a level to aim for but be realistic, if you've got a busy day on or are just starting etc aim for level one, if you get higher then great, if not then not to worry its only suggestions. Every room comes back around next week. Trust me some days I'll only be doing level one myself.THESE LISTS ARE ONLY SUGGESTIONS AND NOT A MUST DO LIST, ALWAYS WELCOME TO POST AND FOLLOW YOUR OWN.Also adding a declutter mission each day. Another one where it's up to you if you want to do it or if you need to. This follows requests from members who are looking to declutter. Binbag dances, hotspot clearing, cupboard sorts, drawer sorts etc will all be on this list. Any problems with this or any suggestions do please let me know.A few of the basics before we start the weekHotspots are any areas which if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!Daily routines/todailies are anything you need to do today and every day stuff like laundry, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etcNight-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.Fling Boogie/binbag dance - stick on some loud music, grab a binbag or carrier bag and whizz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning, exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!5GC five minutes gardening.. make it lovely for your family and enjoy it!Other abbreviations you may find usefulWM ~ Washing machine

gibble ~ miscellaneous crap that appears forever homeless
Dot-to-dot ~ this is a AnW'sMum's way of tidying - pick a small area (not a whole room) like a chair/coffee/table/shelf/worktop or wherever- thats your first 'dot' - totally clear it - clean it - and only put back what should be there - deal with what you have removed (not just move it somewhere else) then if you have time move on and do the same to another 'dot' -the idea is just like a dot to dot puzzle, you aim to join up all the dots and have a tidy room. The trick is to keep each dot tidy until you get them all joined up!
