Sammiell, hope your nephew is OK x

Seafarers_Wife, that's some list you've got going there!

Katiecat, love your idea about spraying polish so your husband thinks you've been busy ;)

Got to do tea now; DH has promised to take me out for a romantic meal for 2 soon so that's something to look forward to. I'm going to do smoked salmon and tagliatelli - really quick and easy. If anyone wants the recipe let me know! Then need to tidy up and will be heading off about 6.30 to fetch my friend to head down into town for our workshop - can't wait!!!!

Thanks again everyone for all the lovely birthday wishes :):)

Well, home from the day job, and now starts the weekend job(s)!

Just about to put my dinner in the oven which will take 35 minutes, so just have time for a HHC if anyone wants to join. Always have to bring l-o-a-d-s of stuff in on a Friday night, so it feels as if all my "trying to keep the house tidy" is undone in 5 minutes of unloading the car on Friday night - so I want to restore order quick-quick.

    HHC at 6.00 pm.

Although I'm sure you've all been good Flyladies and finished for the weekend now!

thanks for the curtain advice Cally - you're ok now, I'll forgive you ;)

Have made chilli non carne for me (not a typo by the way, it's veggie, though I am not a vegetarian) - had some for tea and rest shall freeze (done in SC) and the Vallikids had HM Shepherd's Pie -well my version - includes carrots and I use turkey mince.

Made two, will freeze 1 ;)

YOU sound like a prime candidate for AnW's Dot-to-dot method (pat pending;))- explanation in post 1 but, basically now you have got part of the bathroom clean and organised you KEEP it that way then next time it's bathroom day hit the shelves - even if just one shelf at a time. THEN you keep that area clean/tidy too. Eventually you will have cleaned/cleared ALL areas and the dots will join. You can have dots all over the house or you can focus on your RoD (Room of Doom).

My personal mantra is in my sig - I also recommend the 'don't leave a room empty handed' which someone posted on here - both Sockdrawer and, before I joined the thread I think, Serena have addressed major clutter issues to good effect.

Cally - best drying day for ages, hereabouts!

    Thanks for the support MoaM.

Extended HHC by 10 minutes as my dinner is refusing to cook as quickly as my tummy is telling it to!

In my HHC+10 I managed to

    Empty and refill WM
    Empty and refill airer
Sort washing in the laundry basket
Empty airing cupboard of personal stuff
Change our bed - and was extra enthusiastic and changed the underblanket too.
Changed all the dogs bowls and bedding and their chair blankets
Generally cleared up stray bits around the house along the way
    Put out some recycling
Replenish the birds water bowls - if only to stop them blowing away!

Now need to investigate just how far the milk in my bag has leaked (should have taken notice when the dogs told me first) and hurry my dinner along.

Haven't needed to put the heating on yet with all this actitivy.

Think I'll probably be up for another HHC or HHI later MoaM. :)
