  • I'm in again this week!:j

Dropped off the Fred again at the end of last week but just about kept up with my lists.

Did NOTHING in the way of housework over the weekend, which I know is the point of Flylady:D but it just does not feel right yet :D:D

Full week at work this week so my flying will be done early mornings / evening time.

:heart2: Thanks again for all your lovely words and thoughts last week :heart2:

How many times do I have to say (very politely) "No thank you, I am not interested" before you go???

Just because they know you do not want to shut the door in their face:mad:

Craftyscholar I tend to find a large barking dog helps :rotfl:Thankfully he's all bark and no bite, but at the moment he looks like something between a wolf and a husky. When he looks more like Lassie it might not be so effective!

Afternoon campers, how’s everyone doing? Well I’m up and about, have taken my meds and breakfast – it’s part of my new regime, once up take meds and breakfast as soon as I have my first cup of tea. So far it’s working, well I am only on week two..lol Only trouble is I haven't got as far as having my shower and get dressed before the afternoon is here..lol

Have fed the birds and it was like all the birds in the neighbourhood decided to descend on the garden at once..lol We even have a couple of new additions – Asbo Robin has got himself a mate and he has been bringing her to feed in the garden for a few days now, although the pair of them are now taking it in turns to terrorise the sparrows... Mr and Mrs Blackbird have been popping in and out of the garden all day every day for the past fortnight, we think there is a tentative relationship brewing with our dove. For the past week he has been seen with another dove, although they have been chasing each other around the garden, so I am hoping it is a start of a new relationship. I think our solitary dove is one of the babies from last year, as one minute there was three doves and then the next we were down to one. Woody is still on his own, sadly, but I am sure it won’t be long before he has found himself a lovely female woodpigeon to coo over. But he seems quite happy popping up every day and taking over the bird feeder, and he is quite sweet as he throws out what he doesn’t want so the sparrows underneath can have a feed too. As you can see never a dull moment when the birds are around in our garden..lol Although I expect it will soon turn into the local knocking shop when the bigger birds start doing their business. Then it becomes the local nursery..lol

Apart from that nothing exciting has been going on here at Chez Butt. Oh DH turned 50 on Thursday, just gone, and he had a day off work. Unfortunately we couldn’t really do much due to this darn vertigo limiting me. But we did have a nice chinese takeaway – can definitely recommend Asda chinese takeaway – and a nice bottle of champagne. We also went to pick up our new glasses at the weekend, DH’s were ready and they look really nice on him, mine were ready but stupidly the optician had put a too dark tint on them so they looked like glasses. Anyway they have to go back to be redone, which is another fortnight before I collect them now.

For some reason I’m a bit weepy, not sure why really as things have been pretty calm here and I have been taking my medication religiously. I have been dwelling on a comment made by one of the facilitators at my group on Thursday. I shouldn’t really let it get to me but it seems to be. I think I should use my distracting theories and clear out a big box in the corner of the living room. It should take my mind off it, hopefully!! Oh and I seem to have transferred my over-spending onto Asda items instead of Yankee candles now. Not a good thing..

Maybemischief yes I think the ear is related to the vertigo, as it always seems worse when I am either partly deaf with a blocked ear or the ear is hurting. I am using a brilliant olive oil spray that was recommended, I bought it in Asda, and it is actually really good.
Nattyt you asked if we all cleaned in our shoes – I can categorically say I don’t..lol. I am usually in slippers. I was thinking of getting a pair of pumps, you know those one you slip on, just for indoors but so far I haven’t done anything about it. One strange thing I was actually considering doing was trying ironing in high heels, you know like the posh wives do. Was wondering if it would make me feel better and enjoy ironing..
Juliejim I just wanted to send you huge hugs xx
Shysarah, ooh I could scream for you. How people score 0 in these medicals is beyond me, especially if you are ill. I am dreading when I get called.. I thought they were going to reassess these darn things as the government realised it was costing more than they realised as people are going to tribunal and winning afterall.
    HelenJelly hugs honey,. Xx

Hugs and love, spoons and sticks to everyone, especially LL, Toots and LW xx

Hi all; I'm in again, many thanks to FCC for helping make the Wolf's Lair a nice place to be.
    Helenjelly (((HUGS))).

Paulies_Nixie sending sticky vibes your way. Stuff the housework, cuddle the dogs!;)

Lemanie scarlet fever sounds very unpleasant – hope you're soon completely recovered and good as new.

It'll be another week of picking up the lists and just tackling the tasks I feel able to manage, as my lupus is still very active. Also, Mr LW has a day off on Wednesday, so we'll be doing non-Flying stuff together;):D – I also need him to take me into town to bank the cheque for looking after Dilly.

Which reminds me, Toots asked what Dilly is – she's a Westie.

I've had a similar problem with 14th-letter-of-the-alphabet-Power. I tell them their repeated visits "constitute a nuisance". This approach also worked with the bods that come round trying to convert me to their religion, too.;)

Anyways, I have made a start on the list; just having a Quorn sandwich by way of lunch, so I thought I'd check in.;)

It's the CAMRA AGM tonight, but Mr LW's going on his own; it's in the "function room" of a pub in Newport Pagnell - ie a very poorly heated outbuilding - and the idea of sitting there freezing my t*ts off, and not being able to drink much cos I can't access the pub loos just doesn't appeal.

OK, onwards and upwards, time to give the work surfaces a good clean, methinks.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Grrrr - useful barking dog has just turned into very annoying dog. Went into the garden to get his indoor ball (we keep them seperate but he always takes everything into the garden.) Found 2 books that he has 'decluttered' from the living room. Wouldn't be so bad but they are both library books:eek: He is now very unpopular. Although I suppose its my bad for leaving them on the floor. Hopefully continued flying will solve this problem:)

I have been keeping up with cleaning, mostly, although knitting is much more fun (and playing with DS) but if it is nice to have the banter/inspiration of you lovely ladies (and gents ?) too!

Since DS came home we have had lunch and I am now halfway through hanging up load one of washing :).

I might do some ironing later....back killing me so cannot get any worse!

How did you all do lil_me, bananagirl85, penelope penguin. Here's what I did but I did have a whole hour as DS still asleep
    :j

    Cleared away from lunch.
Stuck DS's highchair cover in WM
    Cleaned & wiped inside microwave
Cleaned windows & windowsills in kitchen
    Mopped kitchen floor
Put chicken in SC for tea
    Folded some laundry from TD
    S&S sink
    Wiped countertops
    Wiped out fridge

No wonder it took me a whole hour :rotfl:So after all that my list looks like this.

Monday ~ Kitchen, Utility and Dining areas - ALL DONE :j
I've decided not to do the extras this week and concentrate on the normal list. I was really tired last week so want to have an easier week this week.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.:)
