You post sounds very coy. What's the situation with the hire car? What was your car that was written off? Are there any other factors that you might have omitted? Previous convictions? Drink driving? The man without a signature.0 -

Maybe use a different broker?! Sounds like the broker doesn't want to do any work. Go online to Go Compared and fire off some quotes. The man without a signature.0 -

All the fault lay with the lorry driver( claim is still pending) My insurance company have advised me of the amount they will pay for my car- which was a total write off. I have been to sort out a new car but have found that I cannot get insurance- I contacted my original broker who says that no underwriter will accept me. Does anyone know why this is?
As far as I know the lorry driver is happily carrying on as if nothing happened but I am worried about any costs I might also incur bcause of the hire vehicle my insurance company providedinfoseeking wrote: »full story is ..I was in the slow lane on the motorway, he decided to overtake me ( I was sticking to the 50mph limit) He travelled in the middle lane for quite a while but the car that was then in front of him wouldn't move out of his way. He decided to pull back into the slow lane but may have forgotten I was there. The long and short of it is, he pushed me for quite a distance along the motorway, then onto the grass verge and in to a tree. My car rolled and it was a write off
Sorry mate this doesn't add up, not your fault then the 3rd party insurance pays.0 -
thanks : ) I have tried this but not had any luck- apparently until the claim is settled my insurance company logs everyone involved as being at fault so other companies won't touch me. Guess I will have to chase up the police etc to try and get something cleared up0

That sounds reasonable to me. I just wanted to check that you weren't driving a Porsche from a credit hire company! The man without a signature.0
